Hola amigos, hoy le voy a mostrar la secuencia o evoluci贸n del anillo de serpiente ajustable de plata que he realizado hace poco, lo primero que tengo que decirles es que ya he realizado anillos de serpiente anteriormente, pero a esos les hac铆a la textura con martillo, en cambio, a este me dedique a modelarle la cabeza y marcar la textura de la piel con la segueta.
Un asunto que quiero comentar es que este tipo de piezas las hago como parte de mi trabajo y a veces se me escapa tomarle fotos a ciertas cosas, pero aun as铆 les ir茅 mostrando y relatando el proceso de su elaboraci贸n.
Para empezar lo primero que hice fue buscar el material, ten铆a en mi mesa de trabajo un hilo de plata de 1,5 mm, este espesor me pareci贸 bien para hacer el anillo, igualmente abajo les dejo un resumen de herramientas y materiales que use:
Con el soplete fui haciendo la bolita en la punta del alambre o hilo de plata, para esto coloco en dicha punta b贸rax que es un fundente, este paso se me complico un poco, ya que la cabeza de la serpiente la quer铆a m谩s o menos grande, pero al intentar de la forma regular que es agarrando el hilo con una pinza y aplicando el fuego de abajo hacia arriba, la bola que se formaba al crecer mucho se terminaba cayendo y yo perdiendo material; lo que hice fue aplicar calor hasta formar la bola y despu茅s ponga la parte de la bola hacia arriba y aplicaba el fuego del soplete un poco m谩s abajo de la bola para que fuera agarrando forma sin el riesgo de que s茅 callera esta bola que va a ser la cabeza. (espero haberlo explicado bien)
Este fue el resultado con el que estuve conforme.
Este pedazo de hilo de plata lo cort茅 a un largo estimado de 12 cm de largo y lo puse sobre la base de acero y empec茅 a golpear la punta con el martillo para que se aplanara y ampliara, tambi茅n para darle forma. El resto del cuerpo tambi茅n lo martill茅 un poco para darle forma.
Ya despu茅s de aplanada la cabeza de la serpiente, proced铆 a pasar la lima para mejorar la est茅tica, tambi茅n use con el Dremel algunas brocas de piedra y punta de diamante para dar forma, luego emplee la segueta y sierra 2/0 para ir haciendo l铆neas para simular la piel de la serpiente.
Luego en la misma Superficie de acero se martilla la cola de la serpiente para darle una forma m谩s puntiaguda.
Con el mandril de anillos de acero y un pedazo de madera para golpear, se le fue dando forma redonda al anillo y ajustando a una talla media de anillo. En este caso, lo fij茅 a la talla 7 americanas
En la imagen de arriba me pruebo el anillo, para despu茅s lijar con los n煤meros 240, 360 y 400 para posteriormente pasar a pulir en el motor de banco usando una mopa de tela y cera de pulir.
Una vez limpiado despu茅s de pulir, el anillo queda exactamente como lo ves en la foto de arriba.

Hello friends, today I am going to show you the sequence or evolution of the adjustable silver snake ring that I have made recently, the first thing I have to tell you is that I have already made snake rings before, but I used to texture those with a hammer. On the other hand, I dedicated myself to modeling the head of this one and marking the texture of the skin with the saw blade.
One thing that I want to comment on is that I make these kinds of pieces as part of my work and sometimes it escapes me to take photos of certain things, but even so, I will show you and tell you about the process of making them.
To start, the first thing I did was look for the material, I had a 1.5 mm silver thread on my work table, this thickness seemed good to me to make the ring, also below I leave a summary of the tools and materials that I used:
With the blowtorch I was making the ball at the end of the wire or silver thread, for this I put borax on said tip, which is a flux, this step was a bit complicated for me, since I wanted the head of the snake more or less big , but when trying in the regular way, which is grabbing the thread with a tweezer and applying the fire from the bottom up, the ball that was formed when it grew a lot ended up falling and I was losing material; what I did was apply heat until the ball was formed and then I put the part of the ball up and applied the torch fire a little below the ball so that it would take shape without the risk of falling off this ball that is going to be the head (I hope I explained it well)
This was the result with which I was satisfied.
This piece of silver wire I cut to an estimated length of 12 cm long and I put it on the steel base and began to hit the tip with the hammer to make it flatten and expand, also to give it shape. The rest of the body I also hammered a bit to give it shape.
After the snake's head was flattened, I proceeded to pass the file to improve the aesthetics, I also used some stone and diamond bits with the Dremel to shape it, then I used the hacksaw and 2/0 saw to make lines to simulate snake skin.
Then on the same steel surface the tail of the serpent is hammered to give it a more pointed shape.
With the steel ring mandrel and a piece of wood to strike, the ring was given a round shape and adjusted to a medium ring size. In this case, I set it to size 7 American
In the image above I try on the ring, to later sand with the numbers 240, 360 and 400 to later go on to polish on the bench motor using a cloth mop and polishing wax.
Once cleaned after polishing, the ring looks exactly as you see it in the photo above.
