I live right on the highway, so I figure that's why my food doesn't get ravaged by the deer, even though every year I accept that it very well could, they seem to be pretty tame with what they do eat. I've had some beans get chomped up by them, but they left me a LOT! Maybe a vehicle drove by and scared them before they could finish the job hehehe :)
