They call me Turtle head;
little they know about my story,
my needle and my thread.
Each day after they revel
in godess` presence,
they raise their heads
and dare to
think for themselves.
That's when they all
get the faith they lack,
when they aren't down,
nor grounded for their thoughts.
A question bubbles underneath
the pile of undisclosed commercial lies.
The truth is still to be told,
prophecy foretold.
The wind's touch has given him wings
he really thinks he can do it,
be above the mediocre average
of soiled hearts and spoiled brats
that rule the Earth.
The image above is a photo of one of my paintings, "Miss Turtle Head" (12" x 12" acrylic on canvas), which aims to illustrate some of the invisible symptoms of chronic illness, Lyme disease in particular. This artwork is part of my "Lymed Up" series.
What you see in the background are not candies, but pills. As a Lymie*, you get to swallow those in huge quantities on daily basis, as part of your treatment.
The turtle head hat stands for the neurological problems that a Lymie gets to experience, courtesy of Lyme: brain fog, numbness, pain, weakness, facial palsy /droop, visual disturbances, all these on top of the burning under the skin.
