A few weeks ago I wrote a post about me getting hooked on acrylic fluorescent paint and deciding to create a new series. "Burning" is the second painting from this new series that aims to raise more awareness about the invisible symptoms of chronic illness, with a focus on Lyme Disease.
The image above shows how the artwork looks like under a black UV light, while the one below shows it in regular day light.
"Burning" is a 30" x 30" acrylic on canvas. To get you an idea of its size, I made this mock-up room view. You can see the artwork both in regular light and as seen under a UV light.
"Burning" will participate along with two other artworks of mine to a collective exhibition having the theme of invisible illness. I will tell you more about this upcoming exhibition in a future post.
Needless to add that it feels great to see my Lyme awareness projects progressing and reaching a wider audience.
