Abi and I are on our way to Pennsylvania for a wedding this weekend. Before we enjoy those festivities, we decided to connect with my grandparents and work with them at the lake.

My grandparents are starting to slow down a bit and can use some extra hands with maintenance. When we heard that the dock needed a fresh coat of stain, we volunteered to come and help.

After 7 years of grandkids and LOTS of company at the house, the dock needed some tlc.

Abi being a detail person with steady hands, happily did the edge work as Pappy and I moved furniture and prepped all the paint.

Since I am taller than the average bear, the trim work along the roof was my duty. Thankfully, the bees decided it was a good day to leave me alone though they did visit a time or two.

3 days and 2 thunderstorms later, we finished the dock and floater. Storms kept threatening our plans but they are no match for prayer.

Pappy is happy and Abi and I have a nice tan to go along with a job well done.
