My Son's Creativity during "The Literary Box" ...! ⚔️ || Educative Material
⚔️ English Version ⚔️
This school year has certainly been quite eventful; given everything that has happened, we teachers have had to diversify our assessment techniques, allowing students to use their creativity to demonstrate their knowledge. As a teacher myself, I closely monitor how my own children are assessed, and I have been very pleased with their teachers so far; they have made a real effort to offer varied assessment activities that keep the students motivated in their studies.
That is why today I want to share how my son was assessed on the reading of a mythological story called "La Casa de Asturión" (The House of Asturión). The assignment involved creating a "literary box" to serve as a visual aid when retelling the story.
His Spanish teacher assigned this activity right after the class had read and discussed the story together. My son worked in a team of three; they met and collaborated remotely to contribute to the literary box. My son coordinated the tasks and took charge of the final assembly. He decorated it with photos and text highlighting the author's biography, a synopsis of the story, the characters, and a plot summary. He also included two 3D figures—a tower and a sword—that perfectly illustrated the story.
This week, they are scheduled to give their presentations and hand in the literary box. This project will be part of the work completed during this term—marking the end of the third term—before they finally take their well-deserved vacation. Until next time!
