30 minutes from the city of Kuching
In Kuching, there are lots and lots of temples all around the city. This temple is next to this temple is the Sarawak river. It is one of the latest tourist attractions with the opening of the Sky Window. The caretaker told me that at night, lots of people come to visit this temple.
Can anyone visit a temple? The answer is yes.

The river brings life. Kuching city is built around rivers that surround the city. Most of the houses here have stilts. I guess, this is in anticipation of any tides that may come in land. A really amazing view. The blend of the modern and old.

Quite a peaceful place to spend the day. Serene and calm. The best escape from the bustling and hustling city. A breath of fresh air oxygenating my brain cells. A short retreat to nature is a great way to feel relaxed and recharged to get the year goin.

The colour yellow never fails to attract. Simple life without stress. Waking up to fresh air.
The temple
The compound is tiled and clean. On the left of the picture is a dragon. Dragons are synonymous to temples as they are said to be guardians of the temple. I went and asked for health and happiness. That's the most important things in life.

Temples are always colourful with shades of red and green.
Some parts of the temple is still under renovation to better enhance its aesthetics.
I parked my car at the opposite side of the river. Later to find that there is an alternative route here. A bit of exercise benefits. "Spark", a book I read years ago is about the connection between our brain and our muscles. If we exercise more, we tend to have better motor connections with our brain. Motor neurons are the ones that help us control our muscles. In short, we become more intelligent just by exercising more frequently. It can be a short walk, house chores and etc.
A clinic next to the temple
This is a really cute little clinic that I can imagine have been used for at least half a century. This is a paediatric clinic. Babies born here would have remembered those times when the city was still in its infancy.
