Good Morning to all my wonderful friends here at @asean.hive. How has your week been? It is another Saturday. Time seems to pass quite fast. One Saturday passes, and the next comes in a while. To kick things off, here is a view of one of the old buildings here in Miri that is slated for demolition in the coming years. It used to serve as one of the offices for the work department here in town.

There is a fantastic spot here in Miri where you can grab a great steak and so much more. This restaurant is called Old House.

Old House

It used to be located at another place before moving here. This restaurant used to be at an authentic old house that was built a couple of decades ago until they moved to this more modern shop.

One of the most unique things about this place is that this restaurant is famous for its steak.

There are a lot of vintage items that are being displayed here that you won't find anywhere these days.

The authentic vintage Chinese cuisine experience is here. They have a lot of Western food on their menu as well as Chinese cuisine.

For this visit, I decided to go with the Fried Chicken Chop. One of the things that I always look forward to when I have a plate of Chicken Chop is that the chicken is fried till it is crispy.

Fried Chicken Chop

This is a Malaysian dish that was inspired by the British. The Steak is fried till it becomes crispy. You can also enjoy some crispy French fries.

To wrap up the meal, here is the Fried Chicken Chop.

A beloved staple in Malaysian Western dining, it features a generous chicken thigh fried until the exterior is beautifully crisp and golden, while keeping the meat inside tender and juicy. Accompanied by a side of classic golden fries, it’s a simple, nostalgic, and satisfying dish that hits the spot every time.

I ordered a cup of coffee milk. I've a habit of ordering coffee without sugar. A couple of years ago, I went to the clinic and I had a blood test and the numbers in my blood glucose spiked so from that day on, I stopped having coffee with sugar.
