Happy #needleworkmonday!

During 2017, a colleague of mine and I have been working on designing pages for a fabric art book. We are continuing this project into the new year.

The page I am currently working on is an exercise in visual discomfort. It is being stitched with a textured handspun silk thread. It will incorporate the red, black, and blue that goes through the rest of our book pages. I'm also stitching on a slightly loose canvas to produce some puckering in the fabric. I've still got a lot of work to do on this piece, so hopefully I'll be able to show more progress in a week or so.

My colleague is currently working on a page using stitched yoyos.

Check out the other pages in this post!
