Today I have the honor of sharing with you an event that has filled our home with joy and love. This is the birth of my cousin, the new family member, who has come into the world with a strength and determination that has deeply moved us.

A few weeks ago we received the news of the expected birth. My aunt had given birth to her third child, Carlos. However, this little angel had decided to arrive five weeks earlier than expected, which filled our hearts with worry. Despite the anticipation, we rushed to the hospital to welcome the new member of our family.

Hoy tengo el honor de compartir con ustedes un acontecimiento que ha llenado de alegría y amor nuestro hogar. Se trata del nacimiento de mi primo, el nuevo integrante de la familia, quien ha llegado al mundo con una fuerza y determinación que nos ha conmovido profundamente.

Hace apenas unas semanas recibimos la noticia del esperado nacimiento. Mi tía, había dado a luz a su tercer hijo, Carlos. Sin embargo, este pequeño ángel había decidido llegar cinco semanas antes de lo previsto, lo que llenó de preocupación nuestros corazones. A pesar de la anticipación, nos apresurábamos al hospital para darle la bienvenida al nuevo miembro de nuestra familia.

When we got to the hospital, we found the cutest, most emotional image we could have imagined. There was Carlos, so small and delicate, weighing only 6 pounds.

The name Carlos, an choice that honors his beloved grandfather, filled the room with a special feeling. Since the grandfather has been away from the country for nine months for personal reasons.

The days that followed Carlos's birth were of tireless dedication. The neonatal intensive care unit became our second home, and the strength of my aunt, who remained in another room far from her little miracle; without losing hope, she inspired us all.

Al llegar al hospital, nos encontramos con la imagen más tierna y emotiva que podríamos haber imaginado. Allí estaba Carlos, tan pequeño y delicado, pesando tan solo 6 libras

El nombre de Carlos, una elección que honra a su amado abuelo, llenó el ambiente de un sentimiento especial. Ya que el abuelo lleva nueve meses ausente del país por motivos personales.

Los días que siguieron al nacimiento de Carlos fueron de una incansable dedicación. La unidad de cuidados neonatales se convirtió en nuestro segundo hogar, y la fortaleza de mi tía, quien permanecía en otra sala alejada de su pequeño milagro; sin perder la esperanza, nos inspiraba a todos.

As the weeks went by, Carlos showed immense courage. Every little progress was a reason to celebrate. The baby, after the birth, weighed just over five pounds; but he had already gained weight again.

Finally, the long-awaited day arrived. After reaching six pounds again, Carlos was discharged and arrived home, where we were waiting for him with open arms.

Carlos, with his strong spirit and his name in honor of his grandfather, has become a pillar of our family. His birth has been a rebirth of love and a reminder that life is a precious gift that we must value at every moment.

Today, through these words, I want to officially welcome Carlos, our little fighter. His arrival has brought the family together in a unique and special way.

Carlos, as you grow and discover the world around you, I hope you always feel the love and affection we give you. You are living proof that love is stronger than any obstacle and that, with the strength of the heart, we can face any adversity.

A medida que las semanas avanzaban, Carlos demostraba una valentía inmensa. Cada pequeño avance era motivo de celebración. El pequeño, luego del parto estaba pesando poco más de cinco libras; pero ya había vuelto a recuperar peso.

Finalmente, el día esperado llegó. Después de alcanzar las seis libras de nuevo, Carlos recibió el alta y llegó a su hogar, donde lo esperábamos con los brazos abiertos.

Carlos, con su espíritu fuerte y su nombre en honor a su abuelo, se ha convertido en un pilar de nuestra familia. Su nacimiento ha sido un renacer de amor y un recordatorio de que la vida es un regalo precioso que debemos valorar en cada instante.

Hoy, a través de estas palabras, quiero darle la bienvenida oficialmente a Carlos, nuestro pequeño luchador. Su llegada ha unido a la familia de una manera única y especial.

Carlos, mientras creces y descubres el mundo que te rodea, espero que sientas siempre el amor y el cariño que te damos. Eres la prueba viviente de que el amor es más fuerte que cualquier obstáculo y que, con la fuerza del corazón, podemos enfrentar cualquier adversidad.

I want to thank all of you for allowing me to share this emotional moment. Life gives us unforgettable moments, and the birth of a child is undoubtedly one of the most magical and moving that we will never forget. Every time I think about it, my heart is filled with joy and nostalgia, also remembering the birth of my own daughter. In each new birth, in each new life, we find the hope and the strength to face what comes. Thank you again for sharing this experience with me and for celebrating together the miracle of love and life.

Quiero agradecer a todos ustedes por permitirme compartir este emotivo momento. La vida nos brinda momentos inolvidables, y el nacimiento de un niño es sin duda uno de los más mágicos y conmovedores que jamás olvidaremos. Cada vez que pienso en ello, mi corazón se llena de alegría y nostalgia, recordando también el nacimiento de mi propia niña. En cada nuevo nacimiento, en cada nueva vida, encontramos la esperanza y la fuerza para enfrentar lo que venga.
