Turok was originally released in 1997 for the Nintendo 64 console. Subsequently, versions were also released for PC in 1997 and for the Game Boy Color console in 2000, currently has a total of 17 games for PS4, Switch, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, PC, GameCube, PS2, Xbox, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo 64.

It is based on a comic book series with the same name launched in 1954 in Four comics #596 and was created by Rex Mason (cartoonist) Gaylord Du Bois (original idea)
