SHOW TIME
Finally, I stepped into the old city of Dubrovnik. A town known all over the world, one of the most prominent tourist destinations in the Mediterranean Sea, a seaport and the center of Dubrovačko-Neretvanska County. An old heritage which makes the whole country pride.
In 1979, it was joined the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.
Dubrovnik managed to preserve it's beautiful gothic, renaissance and baroque churches, monasteries, palaces and fountains despite severely damages caused by a strong and devastating earthquake in 1667. and armed conflict in the 1990s.
I had so much fun. I joined a group of Spanish people. I could mostly understand what the guide was talking about. As I learn Spanish it seemed like a good idea, an excellent opportunity and a great test.

ancient city walls are the main tourist attraction. They were built throughout history in times of permanent danger of foreign attacks and have been preserved to the present day.
