Gymnocalycium needs bright light, but nevertheless it can get burned from direct sunlight.
My Gymnocalycium freely withstands temperatures above +30°C in summer.
And in winter it is below +5°C.
But it is undesirable to keep the cactus at this temperature for a long time.

I grow Gymnocalycium in small pots, its roots like to feel the sides of the pot.
I made an experiment by transplanting Gymnocalycium into a larger pot.
Result: growth has slowed down and there has been no flowering for 2 years.
So in the spring I will transplant it again into a smaller pot.
