My friend and I, while her children were at school, went to a plant nursery, which is located in another city.

It sold mainly different trees, including fruit trees, and we wanted to buy Kumquat.

I bought 1 kumquat tree.
My friend bought 1 Kumquat and 1 Peach tree.

We still had time to review the kennel.
And then I saw Aristolochia manshuriensis.
I knew about this liana, but I saw it for the first time.
Although it grows not only in Europe, Africa, China, Korea and America, but also in Russia.

Aristolochia manshuriensis is the most winter-hardy, it can withstand temperatures down to -30°C.
Whether other species of Aristolochia grow in Russia, I do not know.

Aristolochia manshuriensis is a shrubby deciduous liana that reaches a height of up to 15 meters.

It is used to decorate hedges.
It surprises me.
I agree that her flowers are unusual, but they have a disgusting smell of rotten meat, which attracts flies, as they are their pollinators.

I rubbed its leaves to smell them. It didn't inspire me either, as it was a strong wormwood scent, which is not one of my favorites.
So I limited myself to photographs of Aristolochia manshuriensis.

Happy viewing!

The photos I were taken with a Lenovo TAB 2 A10-70L tablet
