Well, I'm back !
After quite a few hours of running arounds the 'Minds' site, I'll give you my first impressions.
It's not as good as steemit.
Bollocks.
MY INITIAL THOUGHTS....
Even though it's only been a few hours, I found the site not conversation orientated, not as easy to navigate around, and nothing but links to other sites elsewhere, and You tube uploads.
(not what I, personally, am looking for on a social media platform - not like steemit, that's for sure.)
I think I managed to make 30 cents in tokens , for one upload, and half a dozen likes and a couple of comments.
(considering the amount of material I have here, some copy and pastes seem easy enough).
I found uploading images into my post impossible. - just one piccy at the end - but that could be me being stupid, I'm not sure. (I'd say it's probably me).
They have groups (open or by invitation, which is good, I think)
I opened a group - 'closed' and by 'invitation only' - I think, to try it out.
So if anyone is on minds, and wants to join the group - which is a free speech zone - I think you have to 'subscibe' to me ' 'patriotwargamer' or the group - or something.
Look, I'm new there, ok? gimme a break!

It's a place to just chat and hang out, if you don't want to use up all your RC's on things...just to have inane chat.
There is a messenger feature on there, which is cool. ( I never used it but presume it's like a ...messenger feature...).
Could it actually be used in conjunction with minds...somehow, somewhere... something... something RC's... dark side...And I think with all of us upvoting in an echo chamber circle jerk, we might might also some crypto - I dunno.
.....Look, I'm new there, ok? gimme a break!....
I must say, whether it's because of familiarity or something I don't know - but Steemit definitely gels more with me.
The frustrations that I found in the navigation of Minds, didn't appear to me here when I first joined steemit (I'm pretty sure...).
The simplicity of steemit is it's advantage, imo, as far as content creating, and navigating around.
Minds didnt feel as 'homey', like steemit in the same way - even though my time there was very brief.)
AND THIS QUALITY - IF SOLD PROPERLY - IS A MASSIVE ADVANTAGE... AND IF NOT EXPLOITED AS AN ARGUMENT - IS A BAD SELL...
- I might also be talking total bollocks about MINDS, and if anyone has a different experience there, feel free to rip me a new one...
(sighs)...if we could just stop the RC drainage....
