Luce, my girlfriend, has just opened another shop!
....things are going pretty good for us - in spite of the doom and gloom and negativity that seems to pervade the pages here, and in general.
Chicken curry pie
I might have told you before, but I've ran (and owned) two restaurants, one of them with a very good reputation to, I might add!
After selling the homemade curry delivery business a while backs, I'd decided that I didn't really want to do 'restaurant-eering' anymore.
I still love cooking (always have), but cooking for profit takes away the joy of the exercise - quite a lot, in fact.
It's then becomes a serious business, and not just an extremely enjoyable hobby.
I've been helping a friend out for a while now - who's close to around 700 years old, I think - and can't cook. ( making meals for him a few times a week).
And then I started getting request for my homemade pies off the people that have been visiting my mate (they'd had a nibble on them while he was eating).

I told him I had no interest in turning my pies into dollars, but Luce was more than enthusiastic about the idea!!!
So, I've been teaching her how to make them this last few days.(she's an excellent student - and very quick learner).
She delivered her very first batch of 20 pies to her new customers , yesterday.
Not only that.. there's more...
She's had three phones calls earlier today - and now has 4 more orders - for 12 more of the buggers!
She's off to a brilliant start!
Whoohoo!
While that might not sound like too many (it's a limited market in these parts), we only have to sell a small few a day to cover the all our living costs (that's including Sophia's food as well!)....
So now it looks like that I'm just gonna eat them instead! lol
Ah shit!.... that also might be 20lbs going onto the waistline!
Oh well.
