(I'm not talking about 'Houston',btw - for those hard of understanding...I'm talking about Hive)
The main reason - in my most humble - and stupid - opinion... it's the lack of control over your own material - and THAT is the Achilles heel, of this 'this type' of platform.

P.S. my website is still ' a bag o' shite - but knowing that I will have total control of it, is very nice...
I've had three 'proper' websites in the past - for commercial reasons (not blogging etc)., so I'd never really though about them.... until I started on social media'.
