Hi, so yes to Ethereum getting bad press and the massive sell off is what I call 'taking profits' these factors are what is causing the current downtrend, but anything that can drop 40% in a day or two can also rise 80% the next day, this is a result of free market activity. Look at the long term charts for all cryptos, they have all gone up about 1000% since March, the market is still at the early stages of mass adoption, most who have been in this market, the devs, the miners, the traders have all been working for peanuts for years and now with all the ICOs and new tech developing as a race to mass adoption, in particular China, India and Japan showing massive growth and the USA trying to figure out how to get people to declare their holdings at the borders things are really heating up, so yeah, unless you sold, the value of your portfolio buys 40% less than it did a day ago, but you still hold the same amount of cryptos as you did before, those same cryptos will be worth thousands of times more this time next year. So the only thing that has changed is what people are willing to pay for those cryptos today. I hope you can find comfort in my words, I am waiting for the fall to stop then I am buying more, because all prices need to find support before they can rise even higher. People who want into the market three months from now will wish they got in now at these lower prices, they won't be able to but if we are feeling generous we could liquidate a little for them to get in.
