Missing Status Bar in eSteem App on Android Oreo

Expected behavior

App should set status bar color or status bar icons color for both modes.

Actual behavior

App will set dark icons on black status bar. You can see it clearly on two screenshots I posted below.. You can clearly see it on the screenshots I posted below. It's all black on black, nothing is visible.

How to reproduce

Download eSteem on Android Oreo
Log in
Check status bar, it should be display black icons on black background.
