Why are people scared to speak their truths?
in San Diego, CA the other day
I see and meet so many people everyday who have a hard time being straightforward. Growing up in New York, it's apart of our culture, being raw and open. Something about the energy there. It's not the same here in California. People beat around the bush and are not upfront with you. I can read energy very well so despite the hoopla, I always know what it is.
You can be truthful, in a loving way.
You can speak your truths in a loving way.
We can have two different perspectives, and still speak, in a kind way. It's okay to disagree.
Are people scared of what the other person is going to think? Or say?
That seems to be the case, but honestly, half of the conversation is what's going on in our own heads. We over analyze and make things to be something they are not. We think people are upset with us, but really they are just focused on their path and have situations they are currently facing. When we actually take the time to tell them how we feel, they tell us they weren't mad at all.
Be yourself. Speak up for yourself. And don't let anyone tell you anything different. If your words cause no harm, what's the problem? The truth can't be hidden for long, it will always come to the light.

Has there been something on your chest lately you want to get out but are not sure how to say it?
