Me,steemit,still a newbie

I joined steemit in August 2017,with little/no experience about it (still trying to learn the tricks) all i knew was that one could make money from making posts and blogging,sounded quite fun to me.Who wouldnt love the sound of that.Before joining i had heard about it from @evelyniroh .signing up was hard because i was using a wrong browser from a less advanced phone,she later on introduced me to the whatsapp group where i met @samstickkz he put me tru and within seconds i got registered,even got my first SBD from him,thank you much
i followed a few people and gotten a few followers in return,i was soon to learn that the more u follow people the more followers you get,the more upvotes on ur posts.then i was faced with the task of creating posts,i was always indicisive of what to make and always cautious of breaking the rules,so i spent my first week reading and learning bout steemit,made my first post which did not turn out so well.of cause i wasnt expecting a million SBD buh i had hoped for a little,even my introduction yielded nothing guess the post was neither of intrest or entertaining.So i kept to upvoting and re-steeming other peoples posts while still learning.Am still learning and hope to improve better with my posts.Even make new friends, @samstickkz and @evelyniroh i hope to be at the next steemit meetup.
