It’s a pleasure to welcome you to Hive, Jing. We have scoliosis and depression in common, so I can understand the tough times you’ve been through when it comes to your health. I admire your courage in going abroad to work, just as your mother had to do. As you say, that made you stronger and gave you experiences that will help you for the rest of your life.
As you already have some good mentors, I’ll just say that if you follow their advice, you’ll do well here. Enjoy this new adventure!
