Among most common eye diseases there are:
- macular degeneration (AMD)
- glaucoma
- cataracts
- diabetic retinopathy
Early diagnose is very important and helpful in this situations.
AMD - Age-related Macular Degeneration
is eye disease that affects persons >55 years old. It has direct impact on the central part of the retina which is important for central vision and sharpnes.
-> dry - slow progress
-> wet - much faster progress

GLAUCOMA
Glaucoma is not high intraocular pressure but is a big factor. It happens when the flow of the ocular water through the trabecular net is difficult, so the iris is pressed forward and inhibited by further retention.
It is one of the most common eye disease.
Caracteristic thing is, opposite of AMD, periphery shrinks first.
As some vision of theraphy specialists often prescribe eye drops or laser surgery but once you get glaucoma it cannot be curee totally. But can be better and under control.
It can be hereditary.
CATARACTS
Condition when the eye lens is not clear anymore, it becomes blurred mostly because it's age-related and the progress is slow.
Caracteristic is "foggy" vision.
At this time the only solution is surgery but it can be back.
DIABETIC RETINOPATHY
Most common among people with diabetes.
It is connected cuz after about 20 years almost every diabetic has some symptoms of this eye disease.
-> nonproliferative - macula swelling and the result is limited image
-> proliferative - new blood vessels in retina which leads do blurred image and finally can cause separation of the retina.
To prevent all of this diseases you have to be extremly carefulwith your health and be aware that right food and controls can prevent a lot of things.
Eat more food with antioxidants, don't smoke, walk more, do some sports, continously control sugar blood, do complete oftalmologic controls once a year.
