Hello everyone, I am so glad to be able to post today. The last few days were hectic and I was not able to be as active as before in the online world.
But I got a bit of time off today and I want to share with you three photographs of three special flowers (two roses and a sunflower) I captured in a month of October back in 2017. I call them survivors, because they are.
| The Story | I captured this photograph about 4 years and a half ago when I was walking with my DSLR and looking for things to capture in Alexandra Park, Hastings and I saw a lot of flowers, in special roses. Most of them were withered because of cold weather, but not this one. I also edited the image in Lightroom and adapted the spot colour photography style, which I just love it! Furthermore to this, I was surprised the rose was still alive as it was already October and the weather is getting quite cold in the UK. I guess it's a survivor. | |

A yellow rose - Another survivor
| The Story | There was something off about this image when I captured it. Initially, I didn't want to use it as it was nothing special, but then I realized the darkened background actually makes this flower pop. So, I edited it in the lightroom and gave it a bit more life. In the end, I love it and is part of my portfolio. | |

Is it a sunflower? I think it is
| The Story | Although it doesn't look much like a typical sunflower, I am terrible at identifying flowers and plant species. I think it is, possible a very young one. Interesting is that this little survivor, if it's just a baby, what was he doing up in October? Such a late time to live. Moreover, the flower wasn't together with the others, it was a lonely flower I'd seen near some bushes around. A lone survivor, you have my respect! | |
