On this occasion, I want to share with you my latest creation, a fan art I made for the weekly Splinterlands contest. As many of you know, participating in these challenges is an amazing opportunity to explore new ideas and challenge my skills as a digital artist. In this opportunity, I decided to reinterpret Truthspeaker, one of the most enigmatic and powerful characters in the game, bringing him to the vibrant and dynamic anime style.
The creation of this fan art was a really exciting process. From the moment I started sketching Truthspeaker, I knew I wanted to capture the essence of his power and mystery, but with a touch that would make him unique in the anime world. The original character has an imposing presence, and I wanted to maintain that visual authority while adding details that would make my interpretation feel fresh and new.
One of the elements I most enjoyed working with was Truthspeaker's blonde hair, which in my version stands out with a subtle sheen, catching the light in a way that enhances her figure. His eyes, intense and full of determination, are partially hidden by a blue mask that covers his mouth and nose, a detail that adds an air of mysticism and protection to the character.
The clothing was another key aspect in my approach. The white tunic with gold details is a direct homage to the original design, but I wanted to give it an extra touch of nobility. Every fold and embellishment was designed with care, seeking not only to be true to the character, but also to enhance his majestic presence in the scene.
The background was an essential part of capturing the mystical atmosphere surrounding Truthspeaker. I opted for a setting that evoked an ancient temple, with classical columns and floating lights adding a sense of arcane power. I wanted the environment to contribute to the visual narrative, suggesting that Truthspeaker is about to perform an act of magic or summon an unknown force.
One of my favorite moments during the creation of this piece was working on Truthspeaker's pose. His open pose, with one hand extended forward, seeks to convey a mixture of power and control, as if he is summoning something from the depths of the temple. The glowing flame in the foreground acts as a symbol of that unknown force, adding dynamism and drama to the composition.
In the end, this fan art of Truthspeaker is not only a tribute to the original Splinterlands character, but also an expression of my passion for digital art and anime. Every line, every shadow, every detail was an opportunity to explore new ways of visual storytelling. La creaci贸n de este fan art fue un proceso realmente emocionante. Desde el momento en que comenc茅 a esbozar a Truthspeaker, supe que quer铆a capturar la esencia de su poder y misterio, pero con un toque que lo hiciera 煤nico en el mundo del anime. El personaje original tiene una presencia imponente, y quise mantener esa autoridad visual mientras a帽ad铆a detalles que hicieran que mi interpretaci贸n se sintiera fresca y nueva.
Uno de los elementos que m谩s me disfrut茅 trabajando fue el cabello rubio de Truthspeaker, que en mi versi贸n destaca con un brillo sutil, capturando la luz de manera que realza su figura. Sus ojos, intensos y llenos de determinaci贸n, son parcialmente ocultos por una m谩scara azul que cubre su boca y nariz, un detalle que a帽ade un aire de misticismo y protecci贸n al personaje.
La vestimenta fue otro aspecto clave en mi enfoque. La t煤nica blanca con detalles dorados es un homenaje directo al dise帽o original, pero quise darle un toque de nobleza adicional. Cada pliegue y adorno fue dise帽ado con cuidado, buscando no solo ser fiel al personaje, sino tambi茅n realzar su presencia majestuosa en la escena.
El fondo fue una parte esencial para capturar la atm贸sfera m铆stica que rodea a Truthspeaker. Opt茅 por un escenario que evocara un antiguo templo, con columnas cl谩sicas y luces flotantes que a帽aden una sensaci贸n de poder arcano. Quer铆a que el entorno contribuyera a la narrativa visual, sugiriendo que Truthspeaker est谩 a punto de realizar un acto de magia o invocar una fuerza desconocida.
Uno de mis momentos favoritos durante la creaci贸n de esta pieza fue trabajar en la postura de Truthspeaker. Su pose abierta, con una mano extendida hacia adelante, busca transmitir una mezcla de poder y control, como si estuviera invocando algo desde las profundidades del templo. La llama brillante en primer plano act煤a como un s铆mbolo de esa fuerza desconocida, a帽adiendo dinamismo y dramatismo a la composici贸n.
Al final, este fan art de Truthspeaker no solo es un tributo al personaje original de Splinterlands, sino tambi茅n una expresi贸n de mi pasi贸n por el arte digital y el anime. Cada l铆nea, cada sombra, cada detalle fue una oportunidad para explorar nuevas formas de contar historias visuales. Communication is their main field of study, and through their prayers they are given the ability to speak in every language. Most strange is their ability to speak in tongues, which communicates directly with the Angel Realm. When used in battle, this skill calls down a smiting light from heaven. Though quite uncontrollable, the Angel's Light is extremely destructive.

La comunicaci贸n es su principal campo de estudio, y a trav茅s de sus oraciones se les otorga la capacidad de hablar en todos los idiomas. The creation of my Truthspeaker fan art began with an essential stage: the sketch. This is where ideas first take shape. With digital pencil in hand, I sketched the general lines of the character, focusing on capturing the dynamic pose and intense expression I wanted to convey. This is the moment when the composition begins to come to life, where the proportions are defined and the details that will later be polished are sketched out. In this initial sketch, Truthspeaker's figure was already beginning to show its powerful essence, with an outstretched hand and a posture that suggests authority and mysticism.
Once I was satisfied with the sketch, I moved on to outlining. This phase is crucial to give clarity and definition to the character. Using a fine brush, I carefully traced the lines that make up Truthspeaker, making sure that each stroke was clean and precise. Here, it's important to capture not only the basic shapes, but also the smaller details, such as the folds in the tunic, the texture of the hair and the ornaments on the mask. The eyeliner is like the skeleton of the final art, and it is critical that each line reflects the intent of the design.
With the eyeliner complete, the next step was coloring, where Truthspeaker really started to come to life. I decided to use a vibrant but harmonious palette, staying true to the character's original colors. I started with the base tones, applying a soft golden color on the hair and a pure white on the tunic, letting these colors serve as a base for additional details. At this stage, the goal is to establish the areas of light and shadow that will later be enhanced, seeking a balance between fidelity to the original character and my personal style.
Once the base colors were in place, I began to apply shadows. This phase adds depth and volume to the illustration. I used darker tones in the areas where the light would not reach directly, such as under the mask and in the folds of the tunic. When shading, I focused on maintaining the consistency of the light source, making sure that each shadow contributed to the sense of realism and three-dimensionality. The shadows not only define the shapes, but also help to create a more dramatic and mystical mood, in keeping with the essence of Truthspeaker.
Finally, it was time to add the shimmers. This step is like the final spark that brings the drawing to life. Strategically applying glitter to the most illuminated points, such as the hair, the golden details of the clothing and, of course, the flame Truthspeaker is holding in the foreground, adds a touch of vitality and brings out the energy of the character. The glows not only enhance the perception of light in the scene, but also help direct the viewer's attention to the key elements of the composition.
Each of these stages, from sketch to final glows, was an opportunity to immerse myself further into the world of Truthspeaker, exploring his character through each stroke and color. The creative process was as exciting as the end result, and I'm thrilled to share how this enigmatic and powerful figure came to life in my anime style.
La creaci贸n de mi fan art de Truthspeaker comenz贸 con una etapa esencial: el boceto. Aqu铆 es donde las ideas toman forma por primera vez. Con el l谩piz digital en mano, esboc茅 las l铆neas generales del personaje, enfoc谩ndome en capturar la pose din谩mica y la expresi贸n intensa que quer铆a transmitir. Este es el momento en que la composici贸n empieza a cobrar vida, donde se definen las proporciones y se esbozan los detalles que luego se pulir谩n. En este boceto inicial, la figura de Truthspeaker ya comenzaba a mostrar su esencia poderosa, con la mano extendida y una postura que sugiere autoridad y misticismo.
Una vez satisfecha con el boceto, pas茅 al delineado. Esta fase es crucial para dar claridad y definici贸n al personaje. Utilizando un pincel fino, trac茅 cuidadosamente las l铆neas que conforman a Truthspeaker, asegur谩ndome de que cada trazo fuera limpio y preciso. Aqu铆, es importante capturar no solo las formas b谩sicas, sino tambi茅n los detalles m谩s peque帽os, como los pliegues en la t煤nica, la textura del cabello y los adornos en la m谩scara. El delineado es como el esqueleto del arte final, y es fundamental que cada l铆nea refleje la intenci贸n del dise帽o.
Con el delineado completo, el siguiente paso fue el coloreado, donde Truthspeaker realmente comenz贸 a cobrar vida. Decid铆 usar una paleta vibrante pero arm贸nica, manteni茅ndome fiel a los colores originales del personaje. Empec茅 con los tonos base, aplicando un suave color dorado en el cabello y un blanco puro en la t煤nica, dejando que estos colores sirvieran como base para los detalles adicionales. En esta etapa, el objetivo es establecer las 谩reas de luz y sombra que luego ser谩n realzadas, buscando un equilibrio entre la fidelidad al personaje original y mi estilo personal.
Una vez que los colores base estaban en su lugar, comenc茅 a aplicar sombras. Esta fase a帽ade profundidad y volumen a la ilustraci贸n. Utilic茅 tonos m谩s oscuros en las 谩reas donde la luz no llegar铆a directamente, como debajo de la m谩scara y en los pliegues de la t煤nica. Al sombrear, me concentr茅 en mantener la coherencia de la fuente de luz, asegur谩ndome de que cada sombra contribuyera a la sensaci贸n de realismo y tridimensionalidad. Las sombras no solo definen las formas, sino que tambi茅n ayudan a crear un ambiente m谩s dram谩tico y m铆stico, acorde con la esencia de Truthspeaker.
Finalmente, lleg贸 el momento de a帽adir los brillos. Este paso es como la chispa final que da vida al dibujo. Aplicar brillos estrat茅gicamente en los puntos m谩s iluminados, como en el cabello, los detalles dorados de la vestimenta y, por supuesto, en la llama que Truthspeaker sostiene en primer plano, a帽ade un toque de vitalidad y resalta la energ铆a del personaje. Los brillos no solo mejoran la percepci贸n de la luz en la escena, sino que tambi茅n ayudan a dirigir la atenci贸n del espectador hacia los elementos clave de la composici贸n.
Cada una de estas etapas, desde el boceto hasta los brillos finales, fue una oportunidad para sumergirme m谩s en el mundo de Truthspeaker, explorando su car谩cter a trav茅s de cada trazo y color. El proceso creativo fue tan emocionante como el resultado final, y estoy encantada de compartir c贸mo esta figura enigm谩tica y poderosa cobr贸 vida en mi estilo anime.
