Hello everyone! I'm Lorentm, a digital artist, and today I want to share with you a character I created: an interpretation of Flash in his teenage and evil version, whom I named Night Lightning.
In the dark alleys of the city, where shadows intertwine with the glow of neon lights, a figure emerges that challenges the very notion of justice. This is not the Flash we know, the defender of humanity and speed incarnate. No, this is his distorted reflection, a teenage version who has succumbed to the more sinister side of his gift.
His name is whispered in the grimmest corners: "Night Lightning." His costume, a twisted variant of the iconic red and gold, clings to his skin like second nature. Streaks of lightning snake across his body, marking his path of destruction. His eyes, once full of hope, now burn with a haunting malice. What drove him into this abyss of darkness?
They say it was loneliness, betrayal and loss. That the Night Lightning witnessed human cruelty and the indifference of the gods. In his heart, anger boiled like a torrent of electricity, and his speed became a weapon. He glides through the streets like a vengeful ghost, punishing the corrupt and those who dare cross his path.
What motivations drive him? What secrets does he hide behind his mask? No one knows for sure. But those who have faced his fury tell tales of broken bones and sealed fates. The Night Flash does not seek justice; he seeks revenge. And as the city lights flicker, his laughter booms in the night, reminding us that even heroes can fall in the darkness.
Thus is born the myth of the Malevolent Teen Flash, a paradox of speed and evil that defies reality itself. Who knows what fate awaits him in the shadows? Only one thing is certain: his legend will endure, like lightning tearing the night sky. 🌩️⚡

En los oscuros callejones de la ciudad, donde las sombras se entrelazan con el fulgor de las luces de neón, surge una figura que desafía la noción misma de justicia. No es el Flash que conocemos, el defensor de la humanidad y la velocidad encarnada. No, este es su reflejo distorsionado, una versión adolescente que ha sucumbido al lado más siniestro de su don.
Su nombre se susurra en los rincones más lúgubres: "Relámpago Nocturno". Su traje, una variante retorcida del icónico rojo y dorado, se adhiere a su piel como una segunda naturaleza. Las rayas de relámpagos serpentean por su cuerpo, marcando su camino de destrucción. Sus ojos, antes llenos de esperanza, ahora arden con una malicia inquietante. ¿Qué lo llevó a este abismo de oscuridad?

En su corazón, la ira bullía como un torrente de electricidad, y su velocidad se convirtió en un arma. Se desliza por las calles como un fantasma vengativo, castigando a los corruptos y a los que se atreven a cruzar su camino.

Process / Proceso
For the creation of Night Lightning, I imagined the character running through the city, capturing the essence of his speed and power. I started with the sketch, where I used soft, light lines to define the basic structure of the body in a dynamic running pose. I made sure to capture the tension in his posture and the fluidity of his movement, paying special attention to the position of his legs and arms to convey speed, without emphasizing the muscles under his clothing.
Once satisfied with the sketch, I moved on to outlining. Here, I drew sharper, cleaner lines over the initial sketch, adding details such as the lightning stripes on his suit and the fierce expression on his face. This step is essential to give clarity and definition to the character, transforming the sketch into a well-structured figure. I made sure that the lines captured the energy and speed of the character, keeping his clothing loose and without marking the muscles.
With the outline complete, I proceeded to coloring. I chose a deep, dark color palette for the costume, with the iconic red and gold twisted into more sinister tones. I applied the base colors carefully, making sure to maintain uniformity and consistency throughout the design. The dark colors of the suit contrast with the bright lightning stripes, creating a striking visual effect.
After coloring, I began applying shadows. This step adds depth and dimension to the drawing. I used shadows to create a three-dimensional effect, focusing on the folds and volumes of the clothing to give the feeling of movement and dynamism. I paid special attention to the areas where the light would naturally fall, adding more intense shadows in the areas of greater tension and movement.
Finally, I applied glitter to complete the drawing. The glows in the lightning streaks and the character's eyes help convey his energy and power. These shiny details not only add a touch of realism, but also highlight the most important elements of the design. I used lights and reflections strategically to give the impression of lightning moving quickly through the darkness, capturing Night Lightning's breakneck speed as he runs.
This process, from sketch to glows, is a combination of techniques and creativity that allows us to bring a character as complex as Night Lightning to life. Each step is an opportunity to refine and improve the design, ensuring that the end result is a true reflection of my artistic vision of a teenage, badass Flash on the run.

Comencé con el boceto, donde utilicé líneas suaves y ligeras para definir la estructura básica del cuerpo en una pose dinámica de carrera. Me aseguré de captar la tensión en su postura y la fluidez de su movimiento, prestando especial atención a la posición de sus piernas y brazos para transmitir velocidad, sin enfatizar los músculos bajo su ropa.
Una vez satisfecha con el boceto, pasé al delineado. Aquí, tracé líneas más definidas y limpias sobre el boceto inicial, añadiendo detalles como las rayas de relámpagos en su traje y la expresión feroz en su rostro. Este paso es esencial para darle claridad y definición al personaje, transformando el boceto en una figura bien estructurada. Me aseguré de que las líneas capturaran la energía y rapidez del personaje, manteniendo su vestimenta holgada y sin marcar los músculos.
Con el delineado completo, procedí al coloreado. Elegí una paleta de colores oscuros y profundos para el traje, con el icónico rojo y dorado retorcidos en tonos más siniestros. Apliqué los colores base con cuidado, asegurándome de mantener la uniformidad y consistencia en todo el diseño. Los colores oscuros del traje contrastan con las rayas de relámpagos brillantes, creando un efecto visual impactante.
Después del coloreado, empecé a aplicar sombras. Este paso añade profundidad y dimensión al dibujo. Utilicé sombras para crear un efecto tridimensional, enfocándome en las pliegues y volúmenes de la ropa para dar la sensación de movimiento y dinamismo. Presté especial atención a las áreas donde la luz incidiría naturalmente, añadiendo sombras más intensas en las zonas de mayor tensión y movimiento.
Finalmente, apliqué brillos para completar el dibujo. Los brillos en las rayas de relámpagos y los ojos del personaje ayudan a transmitir su energía y poder. Estos detalles brillantes no solo añaden un toque de realismo, sino que también destacan los elementos más importantes del diseño. Usé luces y reflejos estratégicamente para dar la impresión de un relámpago que se mueve rápidamente a través de la oscuridad, capturando la velocidad vertiginosa de Night Lightning mientras corre.
Este proceso, desde el boceto hasta los brillos, es una combinación de técnicas y creatividad que permite dar vida a un personaje tan complejo como Night Lightning. Cada paso es una oportunidad para refinar y mejorar el diseño, asegurando que el resultado final sea un reflejo fiel de mi visión artística de un Flash adolescente y malvado en plena carrera.
