Miu es un personaje icónico del juego Holozing, conocido por su apariencia adorable y su personalidad amigable. Es un gato gris con ojos verdes que captura la atención de todos los jugadores. It all started with the sketch. For me, this is the most liberating and experimental phase. I took my graphic tablet and started drawing soft, loose lines, trying to capture Miu's essence in its most basic form. I focused on posture and expression, making sure Miu's curious and playful personality was reflected from the start. The big ears, the bright eyes and that little curly tail were key at this stage.
Once the sketch was ready and I felt it captured the essence of Miu, I moved on to outlining. This phase requires precision and patience. I used a finer digital brush to go over the main lines, better defining Miu's figure and details. This is where the drawing begins to take on a more concrete form. Each line had to be clear and confident, bringing structure and shape to the character.
The next step was the coloring, where the life in the art really begins to emerge. I chose a palette of soft, vibrant colors that reflect Miu's charming nature. I started with the base color for the fur, a serene gray, and then added subtle touches of purple to give it depth and a unique touch. Miu's green eyes were highlighted with an emerald green that captures her innate curiosity.
Applying shadows and highlights was the stage where the magic really happened. I used soft shadows to give volume and dimension to the fur, creating a sense of depth. I paid special attention to the direction of the light, making sure the shadows fell naturally. The sparkles added that finishing touch, especially in the eyes and fur, giving Miu a vibrant and almost regal look. Little flashes of light here and there made the image feel alive and dynamic.

Todo comenzó con el boceto. Para mí, esta es la fase más liberadora y experimental. Tomé mi tableta gráfica y empecé a dibujar líneas suaves y sueltas, tratando de capturar la esencia de Miu en su forma más básica. Me enfoqué en la postura y expresión, asegurándome de que la personalidad curiosa y juguetona de Miu se reflejara desde el principio. Las grandes orejas, los ojos brillantes y esa pequeña cola enroscada fueron claves en esta etapa.
Una vez que el boceto estuvo listo y sentí que capturaba la esencia de Miu, pasé al delineado. Esta fase requiere precisión y paciencia. Usé un pincel digital más fino para repasar las líneas principales, definiendo mejor la figura y los detalles de Miu. Aquí es donde el dibujo empieza a tomar una forma más concreta. Cada línea debe ser clara y segura, aportando estructura y forma al personaje.
El siguiente paso fue el coloreado, donde realmente comienza a surgir la vida en el arte. Elegí una paleta de colores suaves y vibrantes que reflejan la naturaleza encantadora de Miu. Comencé con el color base para el pelaje, un gris sereno, y luego agregué toques sutiles de púrpura para darle profundidad y un toque único. Los ojos verdes de Miu se destacaron con un verde esmeralda que captura su curiosidad innata.
Aplicar sombras y brillos fue la etapa donde la magia realmente sucedió. Utilicé sombras suaves para dar volumen y dimensión al pelaje, creando una sensación de profundidad. Presté especial atención a la dirección de la luz, asegurándome de que las sombras cayeran de manera natural. Los brillos añadieron ese toque final, especialmente en los ojos y el pelaje, dándole a Miu un aspecto vibrante y casi real. Pequeños destellos de luz aquí y allá hicieron que la imagen se sintiera viva y dinámica.
Cada uno de estos pasos es fundamental para llevar una idea del boceto inicial a una pieza de arte terminada. Es un proceso que requiere tiempo, paciencia y, sobre todo, pasión.
