Hello everyone, my name is Lorentm and I am a digital artist. Today I am very excited to welcome you to my little art corner and share with you my latest illustration. This time, I decided to create a fan art piece inspired by one of the characters from 
For this post, I chose to bring to life the male Forest Healer, but with my own twist. I imagined him through the lens of an anime style, blending his role with the spirit of the Wild West. He became part of my growing collection where healers are reimagined as western figures, full of grit, resilience, and a touch of rebellion.
This is actually the fifth character in my collection, and I wanted him to stand out not just as a healer, but also as someone with a daring story. His role in my version is that of a rebellious railway engineer. I imagined him standing proudly under the desert sun, ready to fight injustice by sabotaging corrupt train lines and helping forgotten towns survive.
When I was drawing him, I felt a strong sense of adventure, as if I was sketching a character who could walk straight out of a western anime and onto the railway tracks of a dusty, endless desert. It was both thrilling and rewarding to merge these two worlds into one image.

Para este post, eleg铆 dar vida al Forest Healer masculino, pero con mi propio giro. Lo imagin茅 a trav茅s del estilo anime, fusionando su rol con el esp铆ritu del Lejano Oeste. Se convirti贸 en parte de mi colecci贸n en crecimiento donde los sanadores son reinterpretados como figuras del oeste, llenos de fuerza, resiliencia y un toque de rebeld铆a.
Este es en realidad el quinto personaje de mi colecci贸n, y quise que destacara no solo como sanador, sino tambi茅n como alguien con una historia audaz. En mi versi贸n, su rol es el de un ingeniero ferroviario rebelde. Lo imagin茅 de pie bajo el sol del desierto, listo para luchar contra la injusticia saboteando las l铆neas de tren corruptas y ayudando a los pueblos olvidados a sobrevivir.
Mientras lo dibujaba, sent铆 un fuerte sentido de aventura, como si estuviera esbozando a un personaje que podr铆a salir directamente de un anime del oeste y caminar sobre las v铆as polvorientas de un desierto interminable. Fue emocionante y gratificante unir estos dos mundos en una sola imagen.
His design reflects both his healer origins and his western spirit. He wears a leather vest that suggests both ruggedness and resilience, paired with rolled-up sleeves that give him a sense of readiness for action. His gloves are work-worn, speaking of his life on the railway, where every detail counts. The broken goggles resting on his head tell a story of countless adventures and dangers, a symbol of his rebellious streak.
His hair is messy, green like the forest he represents, a reminder of his connection to nature despite the dusty western backdrop. His confident gaze and freckled skin add to his personality, making him look approachable yet determined. He鈥檚 not just a healer, but someone who fights for justice, using his knowledge and bravery to protect those who cannot defend themselves.
Su dise帽o refleja tanto sus or铆genes de sanador como su esp铆ritu del oeste. Viste un chaleco de cuero que sugiere rudeza y resistencia, acompa帽ado de mangas arremangadas que le dan una sensaci贸n de estar siempre lista para la acci贸n. Sus guantes muestran el desgaste del trabajo, narrando su vida en los rieles del tren donde cada detalle cuenta. Las gafas rotas sobre su cabeza cuentan la historia de incontables aventuras y peligros, un s铆mbolo de su car谩cter rebelde.
Su cabello es desordenado, verde como el bosque que representa, un recordatorio de su conexi贸n con la naturaleza a pesar del escenario polvoriento del oeste. Su mirada confiada y la piel con pecas le dan a煤n m谩s personalidad, haci茅ndolo ver cercano y decidido. No es solo un sanador, es alguien que lucha por la justicia, utilizando su conocimiento y valent铆a para proteger a quienes no pueden defenderse.
The first step was sketching the character. Here I tried to capture the proportions, pose, and overall attitude that would bring the railway engineer to life. I wanted his stance to feel natural, yet strong, as though he had just stepped off a train to face whatever challenge lay ahead.
Then I moved on to the lineart. This part is always satisfying because it鈥檚 where the character starts to gain shape and definition. I paid special attention to the details of the vest, the gloves, and the goggles, making sure they carried the story I wanted to tell.
After that, I began the coloring process. I chose warm tones for his clothing to blend with the western setting, while keeping his hair vibrantly green to preserve his healer identity. The balance between earthy browns and bright greens was important to convey his dual nature.
Once the base colors were done, I started shading. This step brought depth and atmosphere to the illustration, highlighting the folds of his clothes and the rough textures of his gear. The shadows added weight, making him feel grounded in the scene.
Next came the highlights. I added a glow of sunlight reflecting off his vest and gloves, and subtle light on his hair to enhance the anime style. These touches gave the illustration more energy, as though the desert sun itself was part of his story.
Finally, I created the background. I placed him in front of a train, with tracks leading into the horizon and a sky filled with soft clouds. The warm desert colors tied everything together, reinforcing the western theme and giving the character the perfect stage for his story.
El primer paso fue realizar el boceto del personaje. Aqu铆 intent茅 capturar las proporciones, la pose y la actitud general que dar铆an vida al ingeniero ferroviario. Quer铆a que su postura se sintiera natural, pero fuerte, como si acabara de bajarse del tren para enfrentar cualquier desaf铆o.
Luego pas茅 al delineado. Esta parte siempre es muy satisfactoria porque es donde el personaje empieza a ganar forma y definici贸n. Puse especial atenci贸n en los detalles del chaleco, los guantes y las gafas, asegur谩ndome de que transmitieran la historia que quer铆a contar.
Despu茅s comenc茅 con el coloreado. Eleg铆 tonos c谩lidos para su ropa, que encajaran con el ambiente del oeste, mientras manten铆a su cabello de un verde vibrante para conservar su identidad como sanador. El equilibrio entre marrones terrosos y verdes brillantes fue clave para expresar su dualidad.
Una vez terminados los colores base, trabaj茅 las sombras. Este paso aport贸 profundidad y atm贸sfera a la ilustraci贸n, destacando los pliegues de la ropa y las texturas 谩speras de sus accesorios. Las sombras a帽adieron peso, logrando que se sintiera arraigado en la escena.
Despu茅s lleg贸 el turno de los brillos. A帽ad铆 destellos de luz solar reflej谩ndose en su chaleco y guantes, y un brillo sutil en su cabello para resaltar el estilo anime. Estos toques dieron m谩s energ铆a a la ilustraci贸n, como si el sol del desierto mismo formara parte de su historia.
Finalmente, cre茅 el fondo. Lo ubiqu茅 frente a un tren, con v铆as que se pierden en el horizonte y un cielo lleno de nubes suaves. Los tonos c谩lidos del desierto unieron todo, reforzando el tema del oeste y brind谩ndole al personaje el escenario perfecto para su historia.
This illustration was a true adventure to create, and I enjoyed every step of the process. Blending the healer鈥檚 essence with the spirit of the Wild West gave me the chance to experiment and expand the boundaries of the character鈥檚 world. I feel proud to see him stand there, confident and rebellious, ready to heal and to fight.

Esta ilustraci贸n fue toda una aventura de crear, y disfrut茅 cada paso del proceso.
