As I mentioned in my previous post about Daenerys, I've been reliving the magic of "Game of Thrones" with a new marathon of the series. I've become so immersed that, almost without realizing it, I find myself watching two or three episodes a day. Right now, I'm on episode 4 of the second season, titled "Garden of Bones," and while I'm enjoying every moment, there's a part of me that wants this adventure to last forever. The temptation to keep watching more episodes is real, but I also want to savor every detail!
This immersion in the world of Westeros awakened a great inspiration in me, and that's how the idea of dedicating this drawing to Jon Snow, one of the most beloved and complex characters in the series, came about. I wanted to capture the essence of the character, but at the same time give him a new look, something that would reflect both his melancholic nature and his indomitable spirit.
In this fan art, I have chosen to portray Jon in profile, with his gaze fixed to the right. His expression is serious, almost introspective, as if he is contemplating the weight of the decisions he must make. For his hair, I decided to give it an anime touch, styled in messy layers with shades of black and purple that add dynamism and character. Her iconic fur cape could not be missing, and I worked it in detail to capture the texture of each strand, giving it a realism that contrasts with the more stylized elements of the anime. On his shoulder, he wears a wolf emblem, a symbol of House Stark, which not only represents his lineage, but also the loneliness and loyalty that define him.
The background of the work plays a crucial role in conveying the atmosphere of the North. A night sky, vast and ethereal, stretches over snow-capped mountains, illuminated by stars and soft aurora-like lights. I wanted this setting to capture the cold and majesty of the North, a place as unforgiving as it is beautiful. And while my goal was to capture his essence, I also wanted to give it a unique interpretation, something that would resonate with fans of the series, but could also be appreciated by those who love art and creativity.

Quise capturar la esencia del personaje, pero al mismo tiempo darle un aire nuevo, algo que reflejara tanto su naturaleza melanc贸lica como su esp铆ritu indomable.
En este fan art, he optado por retratar a Jon en perfil, con la mirada fija hacia la derecha. Creating this Jon Snow fan art was an immersive experience that allowed me to explore both the technique and the emotion behind the character. It all started with an initial sketch. At this stage, I worked on capturing Jon's posture and expression. My goal was to reflect his seriousness and determination, so I drew soft, light lines to shape his profile. The details of the hair, cloak and wolf emblem were carefully sketched in, making sure each element fit harmoniously within the composition.
Once the sketch took shape, I moved on to outlining. This is a crucial step, where each line comes to life and defines the contours of the work. I used darker, firmer lines to highlight the main elements, such as Jon's face, his cape and the wolf emblem on his shoulder. Here, I paid special attention to the details of the hair, creating layers of lines that gave it texture and volume, while the cape was outlined with strokes that suggested the texture of the fur and the weight of the material.
With the outlining complete, it was time to add color. For Jon's hair, I selected shades of black with purple undertones, adding depth and an anime feel. The cape was colored in a range of dark grays, with details in lighter tones to bring out texture and realism. In the background, I used a cool palette of blues and purples for the night sky, contrasting with the warm auroral lights unfolding over the snow-capped mountains. I wanted the color to not only bring the image to life, but also help tell the story and convey the atmosphere of the North.
After applying the base colors, I moved on to the shadows and highlights. This stage is where the image begins to take on volume and realism. The shadows were applied strategically to emphasize the structure of Jon's face, his hair and the folds of the cape. I used darker tones in areas that would naturally be less lit, such as under the cape and in the folds of the hair. The shimmers, on the other hand, were applied to highlight areas where the light would softly touch, such as on the ends of the hair, the edges of the cape and the stars in the sky. Adding these highlights not only enhanced the depth of the work, but also gave it a touch of fantasy, evoking the cold and magical atmosphere of Westeros.
Each of these steps, from sketch to final glows, was an opportunity to delve deeper into the essence of Jon Snow and the world around him. The process was an artistic journey that not only allowed me to explore new techniques, but also to connect more deeply with the character and the series that inspires me so much.

En esta etapa, trabaj茅 en capturar la postura y la expresi贸n de Jon. Mi objetivo era reflejar su seriedad y determinaci贸n, as铆 que trac茅 l铆neas suaves y ligeras para dar forma a su perfil. Utilic茅 l铆neas m谩s oscuras y firmes para resaltar los elementos principales, como el rostro de Jon, su capa y el emblema de lobo en su hombro. Aqu铆, prest茅 especial atenci贸n a los detalles del cabello, creando capas de l铆neas que le dieran textura y volumen, mientras que la capa fue delineada con trazos que sugirieran la textura de la piel y el peso del material.
Con el delineado completo, lleg贸 el momento de agregar color. Para el cabello de Jon, seleccion茅 tonos de negro con matices p煤rpura, que aportan profundidad y un toque anime. La capa fue coloreada en una gama de grises oscuros, con detalles en tonos m谩s claros para resaltar la textura y el realismo. Despu茅s de aplicar los colores base, pas茅 a las sombras y los brillos. Esta etapa es donde la imagen comienza a adquirir volumen y realismo. Las sombras se aplicaron estrat茅gicamente para enfatizar la estructura del rostro de Jon, su cabello y los pliegues de la capa. Utilic茅 tonos m谩s oscuros en las 谩reas que naturalmente estar铆an menos iluminadas, como debajo de la capa y en los pliegues del cabello. Los brillos, por otro lado, se aplicaron para destacar las zonas donde la luz tocar铆a suavemente, como en las puntas del cabello, los bordes de la capa y las estrellas del cielo. A帽adir estos toques de luz no solo realz贸 la profundidad de la obra, sino que tambi茅n le dio un toque de fantas铆a, evocando la fr铆a y m谩gica atm贸sfera de Westeros.
Cada uno de estos pasos, desde el boceto hasta los brillos finales, fue una oportunidad para profundizar en la esencia de Jon Snow y el mundo que lo rodea. El proceso fue un viaje art铆stico que no solo me permiti贸 explorar nuevas t茅cnicas, sino tambi茅n conectarme m谩s profundamente con el personaje y la serie que tanto me inspira.
