Hello everyone! I'm Lorentm, digital artist, and today I want to share with you my latest creation inspired by the fascinating universe of @Holozing. This time, I've decided to bring a new dragon to life for the collection, one that has allowed me to explore the connection between nature and fantasy: I present to you Floralis, the grass dragon.
Holozing has developed a series of magical creatures that are dragons, each associated with a different element: fire, water, ice, soil and grass. Previously, I have worked on fire, water and ice dragons, each with its own unique personality and its own charm. However, I felt it was time to immerse myself in the realm of nature, in the serenity of grass and flowers, to create something special. Thus Floralis was born.
This dragon is not the typical imposing and fearsome being, but a creature that radiates warmth and vitality. With large yellow eyes that convey an unusual tenderness for a dragon, Floralis presents himself as a gentle guardian of the forests. Its green body, decorated with leaf-like structures, seems to be an extension of the vegetation itself. Every detail in her design is meant to highlight her connection to the flora: pink spots on her face and body, horns reminiscent of delicate flowers, and a long tail that ends in a leaf of a vibrant pink hue.
Floralis' surroundings are as important as the dragon itself. I imagined it sitting placidly among the grass, in a setting that reflects the tranquility of nature at dawn or dusk, those times of day when the light is softer and the colors blend into a serene spectacle. The soft purple tones in the background add a magical touch to the scene, highlighting the dragon and creating a dreamy atmosphere.
Creating Floralis has been a wonderful experience, an opportunity to experiment with colors, shapes and textures that evoke nature in its purest state. I love how this fan art captures the essence of what I imagine a grass dragon would look like: a creature in tune with the natural world, inspiring both calm and awe.

Holozing ha desarrollado una serie de criaturas m谩gicas que son dragones, cada uno asociado a un elemento diferente: fuego, agua, hielo, suelo y c茅sped. Anteriormente, ya he trabajado en los dragones de fuego, agua y hielo, cada uno con su personalidad 煤nica y su propio encanto. Sin embargo, sent铆 que era el momento de sumergirme en el reino de la naturaleza, en la serenidad del c茅sped y las flores, para crear algo especial. As铆 naci贸 Floralis.
Este drag贸n no es el t铆pico ser imponente y temible, sino una criatura que irradia calidez y vitalidad. Con grandes ojos amarillos que transmiten una ternura inusual para un drag贸n, Floralis se presenta como un guardi谩n amable de los bosques. Su cuerpo verde, decorado con estructuras similares a hojas, parece ser una extensi贸n de la vegetaci贸n misma. Cada detalle en su dise帽o est谩 pensado para resaltar su conexi贸n con la flora: manchas rosadas en su rostro y cuerpo, cuernos que recuerdan delicadas flores, y una cola larga que termina en una hoja de un vibrante tono rosa.
El entorno de Floralis es tan importante como el drag贸n mismo. Crear a Floralis ha sido una experiencia maravillosa, una oportunidad para experimentar con colores, formas y texturas que evocan la naturaleza en su estado m谩s puro. Me encanta c贸mo este fan art captura la esencia de lo que imagino que ser铆a un drag贸n de hierba: una criatura en sinton铆a con el mundo natural, que inspira calma y asombro a la vez.

In the heart of the Eternal Forest, where sunlight barely penetrates through the dense foliage, dwells Floralis, the Guardian of the Forest. Born from the union between ancient magic and the essence of nature, Floralis is a grass dragon whose mission is to protect and preserve the balance of the forest. With his large eyes, he carefully watches every corner of his home, making sure that no threat disturbs the peace.
En el coraz贸n del Bosque Eterno, donde la luz del sol apenas penetra a trav茅s del denso follaje, habita Floralis, el Guardi谩n del Bosque. Nacido de la uni贸n entre la magia antigua y la esencia de la naturaleza, Floralis es un drag贸n de hierba cuya misi贸n es proteger y preservar el equilibrio del bosque. Con sus grandes ojos, observa atentamente cada rinc贸n de su hogar, asegur谩ndose de que ninguna amenaza perturbe la paz.
The process of creating Floralis began with a sketch that captured the essence of a dragon in tune with nature. In this initial stage, I focused on shaping its overall structure, imagining a design that reflected softness and harmony. I used light strokes to sketch the dragon's silhouette, looking for its presence to convey both majesty and kindness, as if it were truly a creature that emerged from the landscape itself.
Once I was satisfied with the sketch, I moved on to outlining, where I dedicated myself to refining the contours and giving definition to the forms. At this stage, each line was precisely drawn to highlight Floralis' unique features: her large expressive eyes, the horns that resemble plant buds, and the long tail that ends in a vibrant leaf. It was important to me to make sure the details remained clean and clear, as they would be the foundation upon which I would build the color and texture in the following stages.
With the outlining complete, it was time to bring Floralis to life through color. I chose a palette that reflected the freshness and vitality of the natural environment. The predominant green in her body was combined with touches of pink in the spots and horns, creating a contrast that evoked the delicacy of the flowers amidst the foliage. I worked with different shades of green to add depth and variation, making sure that Floralis not only blended in with the landscape, but also stood out within it.
The next step was to apply shadows and shimmers to give volume and realism to the drawing. I used soft shadows in the areas where natural light would not reach directly, such as under the horns and on the curves of the body, which helped to emphasize the three-dimensionality of the dragon. For the highlights, I focused on areas where light would naturally reflect, such as on the tip of the nose, the edges of the leaves adorning its body, and the end of its tail. These final touches of light added a magical touch to the character, making it seem almost ethereal, as if it were illuminated by the first rays of the sun or the last glimmer of dusk.
The end result is an illustration that, in my opinion, captures both the serenity and strength of nature. Floralis, with its appearance in perfect harmony with its surroundings, is a testament to how nature and fantasy can be intertwined into one being. Each stage of the process allowed me to explore and experiment, always with the goal of making Floralis not only exist on screen, but also tell a story through her appearance and environment.
El proceso de creaci贸n de Floralis comenz贸 con un boceto que capturara la esencia de un drag贸n en sinton铆a con la naturaleza. En esta etapa inicial, me enfoqu茅 en darle forma a su estructura general, imaginando un dise帽o que reflejara suavidad y armon铆a. Us茅 trazos ligeros para esbozar la silueta del drag贸n, buscando que su presencia transmitiera tanto majestuosidad como amabilidad, como si realmente fuera una criatura surgida del propio paisaje.
Una vez que estuve satisfecha con el boceto, pas茅 al delineado, donde me dediqu茅 a refinar los contornos y darles definici贸n a las formas. En esta fase, cada l铆nea fue trazada con precisi贸n para destacar las caracter铆sticas 煤nicas de Floralis: sus grandes ojos expresivos, los cuernos que parecen brotes de plantas, y la larga cola que termina en una hoja vibrante. Era importante para m铆 asegurarme de que los detalles se mantuvieran limpios y claros, ya que ser铆an la base sobre la cual construir铆a el color y la textura en las etapas siguientes.
Con el delineado completo, lleg贸 el momento de dar vida a Floralis a trav茅s del color. Eleg铆 una paleta que reflejara la frescura y vitalidad del entorno natural. El verde predominante en su cuerpo se combin贸 con toques de rosa en las manchas y los cuernos, creando un contraste que evocara la delicadeza de las flores en medio del follaje. Trabaj茅 con diferentes tonos de verde para a帽adir profundidad y variaci贸n, asegur谩ndome de que Floralis no solo se integrara con el paisaje, sino que tambi茅n destacara dentro de 茅l.
El siguiente paso fue aplicar sombras y brillos para darle volumen y realismo al dibujo. Utilic茅 sombras suaves en las 谩reas donde la luz natural no llegar铆a directamente, como debajo de los cuernos y en las curvas del cuerpo, lo que ayud贸 a enfatizar la tridimensionalidad del drag贸n. Para los brillos, me concentr茅 en las zonas donde la luz se reflejar铆a naturalmente, como en la punta de la nariz, los bordes de las hojas que adornan su cuerpo, y el extremo de su cola. Estos toques finales de luz a帽adieron un toque m谩gico al personaje, haci茅ndolo parecer casi et茅reo, como si estuviera iluminado por los primeros rayos del sol o el 煤ltimo destello del atardecer.
El resultado final es una ilustraci贸n que, en mi opini贸n, captura tanto la serenidad como la fuerza de la naturaleza. Floralis, con su aspecto en perfecta armon铆a con su entorno, es un testimonio de c贸mo la naturaleza y la fantas铆a pueden entrelazarse en un solo ser. Cada etapa del proceso me permiti贸 explorar y experimentar, siempre con el objetivo de hacer que Floralis no solo existiera en la pantalla, sino que tambi茅n contara una historia a trav茅s de su apariencia y ambiente.
