Grass type dragon female version.

For the creation of this fan art of the grass dragon in its female and anime version, I started as always, with an initial sketch. At this stage, everything is loose and fluid; I let the ideas take shape without restrictions, looking for the best way to capture both the essence of the dragon and the anime aesthetic. I focused on outlining the key features, such as the hair that mimics leaves, the horns and that long tail that should evoke the shape of the stems, but with grace and elegance.

Once the sketch had the right composition, I moved on to outlining. Here everything takes shape with precision. I used clear, sharp lines to bring out the details of the character, from the strands of yellow-green hair that flowed like leaves, to the folds of her coat and skirt. At this point, it's crucial to make sure every element looks clean, keeping with the anime style, where lines play a key role in bringing the character to life.

With the outlining finished, came the most fun stage: coloring. I chose vibrant and warm tones to highlight the vitality of the grass-like dragon. Green and yellow dominated the palette, always looking for a balance between the colors so that everything flowed harmoniously. The hair became a soft gradient of greens and yellows, while the coat and skirt provided contrast with their earthy colors and white details, which helped to balance the composition.

Then, I started to work on the shadows. At this point, the character begins to have volume and depth. I added soft, sharp shadows in the areas where the light would not reach, such as under the folds of the clothes or in the curves of the tail. I made sure that the shadows followed the direction of a soft light, to create a more natural and fluid effect, making the figure feel integrated into her surroundings.

Finally, I applied the shimmers to give it that final, magical touch. This is where the character really comes to life. I used subtle shimmers on the hair, horns and the edge of her coat, as well as on the golden eyes to capture that typical anime glow, which reflects both light and emotion. I also added some sparkles on the tail, mimicking the reflection of light on surfaces representing plants and leaves, which gave her a sense of freshness and vitality.

When finished, the character emanated that mystical and vibrant energy that I wanted to achieve from the beginning, it was a process full of details and emotion!

Para la creación de este fan art del dragón tipo hierba en su versión femenina y anime, comencé como siempre, con un boceto inicial. En esta etapa, todo es suelto y fluido; dejo que las ideas se plasmen sin restricciones, buscando la mejor manera de capturar tanto la esencia del dragón como la estética anime. Me enfoqué en delinear los rasgos clave, como el cabello que imita hojas, los cuernos y esa larga cola que debía evocar la forma de los tallos, pero con gracia y elegancia.

Una vez que el boceto tenía la composición correcta, pasé al delineado. Aquí todo toma forma con precisión. Utilicé líneas claras y definidas para realzar los detalles del personaje, desde los mechones de cabello verde-amarillo que fluían como hojas, hasta los pliegues de su abrigo y falda. En este momento, es crucial asegurarse de que cada elemento se vea limpio, manteniendo el estilo anime, donde las líneas juegan un papel fundamental para dar vida al personaje.

Con el delineado terminado, llegó la etapa más divertida: el coloreado. Elegí tonos vibrantes y cálidos para resaltar la vitalidad del dragón tipo hierba. El verde y el amarillo dominaron la paleta, buscando siempre un equilibrio entre los colores para que todo fluyera de manera armónica. El cabello se tornó un degradado suave de verdes y amarillos, mientras que el abrigo y la falda aportaron contraste con sus colores tierra y detalles en blanco, que ayudaban a equilibrar la composición.

Luego, empecé a trabajar las sombras. En este punto, el personaje comienza a tener volumen y profundidad. Añadí sombras suaves y marcadas en las zonas donde la luz no llegaría, como debajo de los pliegues de la ropa o en las curvas de la cola. Me aseguré de que las sombras siguieran la dirección de una luz suave, para crear un efecto más natural y fluido, haciendo que la figura se sintiera integrada en su entorno.

Finalmente, apliqué los brillos para darle ese toque mágico y final. Aquí es donde el personaje realmente cobra vida. Usé brillos sutiles en el cabello, los cuernos y el borde de su abrigo, así como en los ojos dorados para capturar ese brillo típico del anime, que refleja tanto luz como emoción. También añadí algunos destellos en la cola, imitando el reflejo de la luz sobre las superficies que representan plantas y hojas, lo que le dio una sensación de frescura y vitalidad.

Al terminar, el personaje emanaba esa energía mística y vibrante que quería lograr desde el principio. ¡Fue un proceso lleno de detalles y emoción!
