Female Ocean Healer Postapocalytic

When it comes to exploring new creative directions, I always feel a mix of excitement and nerves. Hi everyone! I'm Lorentm, a digital artist passionate about giving life to characters through vibrant colors and emotional expressions. Welcome once again to my blog, where I share my journey and the worlds I build through art. Today, I’m thrilled to present my latest fan art inspired by one of the iconic characters from the @holozing universe: the Female Ocean Healer.

This time, I wanted to contribute to the initiative that @acidyo has been promoting, which invites artists to create collections with a consistent theme. I was immediately inspired and decided to launch a new series of fan art pieces: the Healers Collection. Each character in this collection is reimagined within a post-apocalyptic setting, a bit like a fusion between Holozing magic and the raw, survivalist aesthetic of Mad Max. The piece I’m sharing today is the third character in this lineup, and portraying her was an emotional experience—one that made me reflect on resilience, serenity, and the power of healing, even in the harshest environments.

Bienvenidos una vez más a mi blog, donde comparto mi camino y los mundos que construyo a través del arte. Hoy estoy emocionada de presentar mi más reciente fan art inspirado en uno de los personajes icónicos del universo @holozing: la Female Ocean Healer.

En esta ocasión, quise unirme a la iniciativa que está promoviendo @acidyo, que invita a artistas a crear colecciones con una temática común. Me sentí inmediatamente inspirada y decidí lanzar una nueva serie de fan arts: la Colección de Sanadores. Cada personaje de esta colección está reinterpretado dentro de un mundo postapocalíptico, como una fusión entre la magia de Holozing y la estética cruda y sobreviviente de Mad Max. La pieza que comparto hoy es el tercer personaje de esta línea, y retratarla fue una experiencia emotiva, que me hizo reflexionar sobre la resiliencia, la serenidad y el poder de la sanación, incluso en los entornos más hostiles.

The Female Ocean Healer in this version is a strong yet serene presence. I reimagined her with a short, tousled hairstyle in cool oceanic tones—turquoise fading into light teal, reflecting the sea’s ever-shifting colors. Her crown is composed of three large starfish, symbolizing a connection to marine life and perhaps a status of leadership or divinity in this wasteland world.

She wears a sleeveless shirt with a stylized wave design printed on it, evoking both nostalgia and strength. The loose fit contrasts with her practical accessories: a sturdy belt with a side pouch, suggesting she's a nomad or healer always on the move. The flowing fabric tied at her waist adds elegance while still hinting at utility. Her arms are wrapped in white bandages, giving her a survivor’s look, while the layered gold bracelets add a subtle regal air.

La Female Ocean Healer en esta versión transmite una presencia fuerte pero serena. La reimaginé con un peinado corto y despeinado en tonos oceánicos fríos—turquesa que se funde en un azul claro, reflejando los colores cambiantes del mar. Su corona está formada por tres grandes estrellas de mar, lo que simboliza una conexión con la vida marina y quizás un estatus de liderazgo o divinidad en este mundo devastado.

Luce una camiseta sin mangas con un diseño de ola estilizada impresa en ella, evocando tanto nostalgia como fuerza. El ajuste holgado contrasta con sus accesorios prácticos: un cinturón firme con una bolsa lateral, sugiriendo que es una nómada o sanadora en constante movimiento. La tela fluida atada a su cintura aporta elegancia sin perder su utilidad. Sus brazos están envueltos en vendas blancas, dándole un aspecto de superviviente, mientras que las pulseras doradas en capas le dan un sutil aire de realeza.

Process / Proceso

It all started with a sketch where I tried to capture the balance between vulnerability and strength. I focused on her stance and expression—gentle, yet determined. Her pose by the sea, gazing into the horizon, came naturally during this phase. I spent quite a bit of time refining her silhouette, wanting her to look grounded but graceful.

Next came the line art. I worked with clean, dynamic strokes, emphasizing the movement in her hair and the flow of the fabric. The accessories, like the belt and bracelets, were detailed to show wear and practicality, crucial in a post-apocalyptic setting. I aimed for clarity but with personality.

Then came the coloring, which is always my favorite part. I chose a palette dominated by sea tones—blues, aquas, and sandy beiges. The wave motif on her shirt was a small challenge but turned out to be one of my favorite elements. It connects her directly to the ocean she protects.

After that, I moved on to adding shadows. Here, I played with light and contrast, imagining the sun filtering through the clouds and casting gentle shadows on her form. It was important for me to create a balance—too much shadow would make her seem too harsh, and I wanted to maintain her warmth.

Highlights brought her to life. I added glowing accents on her hair, eyes, and accessories to give her an ethereal touch. The reflections in her eyes and the shine on her starfish crown make her look like someone who carries hope—even in the darkest times.

Finally, I created the background: a calm seascape with waves and clouds gently drifting by. The serene blue sky adds contrast to the desert-like concept of the post-apocalyptic world, suggesting that nature, like her, survives and adapts.

Todo comenzó con un boceto donde intenté capturar el equilibrio entre vulnerabilidad y fuerza. Me enfoqué en su postura y expresión—suavidad con determinación. Su pose frente al mar, mirando al horizonte, surgió de forma natural durante esta fase. Pasé bastante tiempo afinando su silueta, quería que se viera firme pero elegante.

Luego trabajé el delineado. Usé trazos limpios y dinámicos, enfatizando el movimiento en su cabello y la fluidez de la tela. Los accesorios, como el cinturón y las pulseras, los detallé para que mostraran desgaste y practicidad, algo crucial en un entorno postapocalíptico. Busqué claridad pero con carácter.

Después vino el coloreado, que siempre es mi parte favorita. Elegí una paleta dominada por tonos marinos—azules, aguamarinas y beige arenoso. El motivo de la ola en su camiseta fue un pequeño reto, pero terminó siendo uno de mis elementos favoritos. La conecta directamente con el océano que protege.

Luego pasé a las sombras. Aquí jugué con la luz y el contraste, imaginando el sol filtrándose entre las nubes y proyectando sombras suaves sobre su figura. Para mí era esencial lograr un equilibrio—demasiadas sombras la harían parecer demasiado ruda, y yo quería mantener su calidez.

Los brillos le dieron vida. Añadí acentos brillantes en su cabello, ojos y accesorios para darle un toque etéreo. Los reflejos en sus ojos y el brillo en su corona de estrellas de mar hacen que parezca alguien que lleva esperanza, incluso en los momentos más oscuros.

Finalmente, creé el fondo: un paisaje marino tranquilo con olas y nubes que flotan suavemente. El cielo azul sereno contrasta con el concepto desértico del mundo postapocalíptico, sugiriendo que la naturaleza, al igual que ella, sobrevive y se adapta.

Creating this piece was a fulfilling experience. It pushed me to blend softness and strength, hope and survival. Through this character, I felt like I was telling a story of restoration and inner peace. It reminded me why I love art so much—it allows me to dream and share those dreams with all of you.

Crear esta pieza fue una experiencia muy gratificante. Me desafió a combinar suavidad con fortaleza, esperanza con supervivencia. A través de este personaje, sentí que estaba contando una historia de restauración y paz interior. Me recordó por qué amo tanto el arte—me permite soñar y compartir esos sueños con ustedes.
