Today was a day that will mark a before and after in my life. I got up early, as we resumed our visits to the doctor's office that we had put aside for a few days due to the large number of work commitments I had. The first day was taken to accompany my mom to the dentist, as she had some treatments pending.

The wait was a bit long, but my mom was calm and relaxed during the whole consultation. The doctor did some surgery and took some stitches, but she was not discouraged. Although I was anxious to know if she was really feeling okay or if she was just enduring the pain, my mom would barely raise her hand to affirm that she was in excellent condition.

Meanwhile, I continued to be amazed by his behavior. After two long hours in the office, he got up and we returned home. As we left to get the bus home, it seemed as if nothing had happened.

Once home, we stopped by the pharmacy buying some antibiotics and anti-inflammatory and pain pills, as well as some soft things for him to eat, as the doctor recommended that he eat cold things and soups, creams, avoiding all grains.

On Friday we will go to the doctor again to have the stitches removed, but that's how my day was today: quite hectic because, even though everything seemed fine, I couldn't stop worrying and thinking about how she would be feeling if she was really in pain or not.

This experience made me reflect on the importance of accompanying our loved ones through difficult times. My mom showed me that even in the most challenging situations, we can find the strength and courage to get through them.
