The Splinterlands region is surrounded by many fearless races, some peaceful and some full of animosity, Gargoya race is one of them. Gargoyans have a solid stone-like body structure, but if cracked with a heavy hammer, they turn into a rubble of stones and clay.
The challenge of the week as set by Splinterlands requires to use Gargoya Scrapper in the battle, let's find out its characteristics and then we move to the battle strategy.

The stiff and sturdy creatures had a huge castle in Mount Praetorius, but the Chaos Legion army razed it to the ground making Gargoyans nearly extinct. Those who survived the brutal attack had to choose whether to stay with their kin to rebuild or move to other continents for their survival.
The bravest of them stayed and started to revamp their existence, those were known as Scrappers. Gargoya Scrappers somehow managed to gain the knowledge and wisdom, they build a new base and created more powerful gargoyas for sake of revenge.
Look at the fearless eyes and pointy claws of Gargoya Scrapper.

SPECIAL ABILITIES
| Card upgraded to level 3 gets 'Void' ability, that reduces magic attacks. |
Take a look at the battleground image, you can see that I have put the Gargoya Scrapper in the first position.
| LORDSHAH'S CARDS | OPPONENT'S CARDS |
|---|---|
| General Sloan (Summoner) | Obsidian (Summoner) |
| Gargoya Scrapper | Unicorn Mustang |
| Uriel The Purifier | Regal Preyton |
| Djinn Renova | Venari Spellsmith |
| Pelacor Arbalest | Goblin Psychic |
| Venrai Crystalsmith | Mycelic Slipspawn |
| Shieldbearer | Goblin Tower |
It was a 99 mana battle, so I tried to add heavy hitters having ample amount of HP.
STRATEGY
In order to give Uriel The Purifier time to recharge, I have used Gargoya Scrapper at the first position as bait, secondly, I keep Shieldbearer with 'Taunt' ability at the last position to get attack attention from opponents' backlines and sneak monsters.
Slipspawns 'Taunt' ability allows me to attack him first, I also have an advantage of Uriel who does a massive 3x damage after recharging. Removing Slipswapn and Mustang is the key to the win.
Djinn Renova provides +1 health to all allies, while Venari Crystalsmith will heal any injured monster. Pelacor Arbalest is the key attacker, since he hits twice in a single turn, he can smoothly take heavy-hitting monsters. The summoner General Sloan buffs up all ranged attackers with a +1 attack, which makes Arbalest way more dangerous for any opponent who comes in his way.
Let's watch the video and see how my strategy has to work, moreover I have added some special effects on Gargoya Scrapper, you must watch the video to see those fantastic effects.
Now, buckle up your seat belts, because this battle is not an ordinary battle, the life and the earth monsters will rain havoc upon each other.
Round 1
Obsidian magically powers up all the spellcasters with a +1 magic attack, while General Sloan gives his ranged attackers extra piercing bolts and arrows for additional damage, Djinn Renova uses her genie power and adds one additional health to all allies.
As the battle is about to start, Gargoya Scrapper complains to Uriel "I am not a fish bait, I know you put me in the frontline as a bait while you'll read the book of light to charge your sword with magic." and angrily frowns, but he is just a pawn who could not do anything other than stand still.
Unicorn Mustang is laughing at Gargoya "Haha, poor little Scrapper, haha", and pierces his pointy horn into Scrapper's mouth, and rips his head apart.
Pelacor Arbalest shouts "Worry not my friend Scrapper, we'll avenge you.", and immediately fires 2 fiery bolts toward Mycelic Slipspwan, which burns down her net-like existence into ashes.
Psychopath Goblin shoots a powerful spell unto Shieldbearer, he yells "My life goes back to the divine light, my duty is fulfilled.", he dies peacefully afterward.
Round 2
Mustang attacks Uriel with a neigh, but Uriel dodges and says with a boastful voice "My sword will enlighten your life and death, light be with us.", he injects the sword into Mustang's chest, a lightning strikes, and Mustang sits on his front legs meekly, immediately Renova hurls a devastating magic ball to completely destroy Unicorn Mustang.
Round 3
Uriel The Purifier opens the book of light to summon the lightning power for another powerful blow, meanwhile, Psychic Goblin, Venari Spellsmith, and Regal Preyton cast their spells to weaken The Purifier, and Goblin Tower sends a volley of arrows, which breaks Uriel's armor.
Round 4
Preyton hastily attacks Uriel leaving him with 1 health, everyone is shocked and whispers "If Uriel The Purifier dies, we'll be in grave danger.", Uriel replies "Lest not bring any cowardice here, let the light fill you with bravery.", and slays Regal Preyton with a powerful blow.
Venari Spellsmith is now in Renova's magic range, she murmurs some words and throws a lightning bolt, which electrocutes Spellsmith and he falls to the ground like a burnt candle.
Smelly little Goblin growls something strangely "errr Merrr - cee, Urrr-il parrrr-dun!", "No Mercy, you odious being, finish him" Uriel orders, and within an instant Crystalsmith and Arbalest dispatch him to the land of the dead. Arbalest's second attack shatters Goblin Tower's defense shield.
Round 5
Uriel climbs up Goblin Tower and pulls two goblins out and ties them with the tower post, "Renova one for you, Arbalest one for you, send them to hell once and forever." Uriel says in a boisterous outcry.
Renova shoots a swirling lightning ball and finishes one of the goblins, then Arbalest aims at the next goblin, and fires a blasting bolt, which leaves no sign of goblin but blood and flesh.
With 1 mana cost, it can even fit into the smallest mana battles, and with different support units, it can even survive for longer rounds. Suppose if you add a support unit or a summoner with armor buff, or use a healer, there are great chances Scrapper may add value to your team.
Another use case is, to make it bait for cards that require charging up to do tipple damage.
Or level up this card to 3 and enjoy its Void ability, which can protect it against magic damage.
Conclusively, what else do you need in a card with 1 mana, which can fit into any type of battle.
