In these regular updates we will bring fresh content to Hive in the form of our game coding experiences; IBT is a developing PC game - the one to have future Crypto interactions.
IBT Island Rebuild (With the temple of hand)
Yes that's right we lost 5 weeks of solid work on IBT Island original when the hard drives got cooked; the Island itself has had to be rebuilt from the ground up, but luckily all the code required for the island was saved. This is how we do projects, we first write the code and then build the landscape after. After we wrote the code we did a backup of the backup, but while building the island we got a bit lazy and didn't back it up...well in a way that could sustain a multiple disk failure (duh). Anyways time to let the past go, this is an image of the map with the lighting turned off.
What else...The not so golden compass
This weeks been about adding a compass to IBT and IBT original/classic. So far we have managed to create a handheld compass but we are looking at other methods also like the bar compass that displayed in this post. So far this is experimental and it has spat out a few small errors but they can be solved. The red bar you see in the gif image represents "North". So if we wish, where ever we move that bar the compass will point to it at due North. Not sure that is the best english to explain it, but its been a tough weak and tiredness is winning out now...but at least I got this weekly post out, just :)
The.. something different to a compass
Another compass type possibility is the bar compass. The red arrows will indicate what direction you are while the green bar moves or slides.
Well, that's it for this week, another week done and a few steps closer to our goal.
