Hello, hivers! My last post on the Hive blockchain was back in May, when I shared the happiest news that a new hiver was on the way. My wife's pregnancy is 28-weeks strong and going well!

Indeed, life off Hive has been busy for me, and all I've been doing on the blockchain has been playing Splinterlands.

Back in April, I started a new job as Assistant Professor in the Economics of Technology at Delft University of Technology, which has so far been great, with nice colleagues and an welcoming environment.

But since May I've also traveled to the UK and to my home country Brazil, both for working reasons, which was awesome as I managed to visit my sisters (and niece) in London and my parents and friends in Rio!

Furthermore, among other things, in this period when I've been absent from the Hive, I attended a science and technology policy conference in Utrecht, celebrated my 42nd birthday, visited friends in Amsterdam and received the visit of my older sister, brother-in-law and niece at home, and am now enjoying my summer vacations in sunny Málaga (Spain), where I'm learning to sail!

Olá, hivers! Meu último post no blockchain do Hive foi em maio, quando compartilhei a notícia mais feliz de que um novo hiver estava a caminho. A gravidez da minha esposa está com 28 semanas e indo bem!

De fato, a vida fora do Hive tem sido ocupada para mim, e tudo o que tenho feito no blockchain é jogar Splinterlands.

Em abril, comecei um novo emprego como Professor Assistente de Economia da Tecnologia na Delft University of Technology, que até agora tem sido ótimo, com colegas simpáticos e ambiente acolhedor.

Mas desde maio também viajei para o Reino Unido e para meu país natal Brasil, ambas por motivos de trabalho, o que foi incrível, pois consegui visitar minhas irmãs (e sobrinha) em Londres e meus pais e amigos no Rio!

Além disso, entre outras coisas, neste período em que estive ausente da Hive, participei de uma conferência de política científica e tecnológica em Utrecht, comemorei meu 42º aniversário, visitei amigos em Amsterdã e recebi a visita de minha irmã mais velha, cunhado e sobrinha em casa, e agora estou aproveitando minhas férias de verão na ensolarada Málaga (Espanha), onde estou aprendendo a velejar!
