Overview
The new Weekly ruleset Challenge is an amazing twist that I am enjoying so far and I hope there will be twists like that in the future to keep this Challenge's fresh. 😁
This week we had to do a Battle using the Armored Up ruleset, which means that all the monsters will have +2 Armor in addition to their normal Armor stat at the beginning of the battle. 💪
This is an amazing ruleset, because I will be able to play with Splinters that doesn't have too much defensive monsters or Summoners, such as the Fire (mainly buffer) or Death (mainly debuffer).
There is one very important rule about armors in general, which is that the magic attacks are completely ignore any armor unless you have the Void Armor ability. There is three abilities, which can manipulate the armor on a creature and those are:
- Rust : Reduces the Armor of all enemy Monsters by two.
- Repair : Restores some armor to the friendly Monster whose armor has taken the most damage.
- Shatter : Target's armor is destroyed when hit by an attack from Monsters with Shatter.

My lineup
| Grandmaster Rathe is an excellent legendary summoner who gives +1 armor to all of his friendly creatures. He is also the best possible counter against magic attack monsters in the Armored Up ruleset, because he gives Void Armor to all of his monsters, which will makes the enemy magic attacks to first hit the armor instead of their health. I picked this Summoner just because of that ability. He also gives the Amplify ability as well, which means that all the reflected minions in his team will reflect an extra damage back to their attacker. 😁 | |
| The Pelacor Conjurer doesn't seem to a strong tank for many players, but if you started to use it soon you will realise that he is a must have in many Life battles. His biggest strength is that he cost only 2 mana. He also has high speed and Flying to dodge any incoming melee or ranged attacks. He is a perfect counter against the magic attack teams thanks to his Magic Reflect ability boosted up with the Amplify. 😊 | |
| The Pelacor Arbalest is a damage dealer monster and such he doesn't have too much protective abilities or stats. He has a very low health, but thanks to the Armored Up ruleset and his Summoner he has some armor to block the incoming melee and ranged attacks. His most important ability is Double Strike, which as the name implies will make this monster to attack twice in every round. 😇 | |
| Adelade Brightwing is a support monster and her Repair ability means a life and death situation in this game, because all the monsters has armor, so she will restore the most damaged monster armor in every round. She also has the Resurrect ability, which means that she will revive the first monster who died from my team except herself. 😅 | |
| The Xenith Archer is a low mana cost monster and she has the same mana cost like the Conjurer. She is a ranged attack monster with only one attack and the extra armor made her stronger than usual and might be able to withstand the enemy sneakers for few attacks. 😉 |
The Battle

My opponent brought an almost identical team like mine with the support of one of the new Soulbound cards who has the Martyr ability. This ability is amazing in rulesets like Earthquake and Noxious Fumes, because this monster will die quick and he will buff his neighbours. 😁
The other difference is that my opponent used the General Sloan as a Summoner who gives +1 ranged attack to all of his friendly creatures.
The Life Splinter is one of the best choice for the Earthquake ruleset, because they have a lot of Flying monsters , so they will counter this ruleset easily. 😊
It is very difficult to hit the two Pelacor Conjurer at the front only the magic attack creatures can hit him 100%, but they will suffer some reflected damage back to themselves. Rathe increases this damage giving Amplify to his monsters. 😅
My opponent were very lucky to hit my tank with his ranged creatures and he died in the third round, but Adelade brought him back. My opponent did the same right after that, but luckily Rathe showed his true power and working with my Conjurer nicely their Adelade died against his Magic Reflect ability. She died quicker than the Venari Marksret, so she couldn't get any buff from him. 🤗
After that the game was over, because his Arbalest fell into the tank position, where he couldn't attack anymore. 😎

My strategy worked perfectly, because my plan was to utilise the Void Armor and Amplify ability from my Grandmaster Rathe and even though my opponent damage was much higher he couldn't go through our armor quick enough. 😉
