Two days ago my family got a new member, a future Hivean perhaps. :)
A 4 kilogram,58cm baby boy. Wife still in hospital and now Im preparing for their arrival tomorrow.
I wanted to touch on some things though that might not be so obvious but should be noted. While there is plenty of development being presented outward there are definitely some things not being talked about.
We currently dont have any "community liaisons or representatives" funded by the DAO, no DHF funded non-developers like for example Splinterlands does. Clayboyn being the example in this case.
But we for sure have people working in the background on various things that would relate to that job.
Crimsonclad is definitely a great example, Guiltyparties as well. Folks like Anomadsoul, Starkerz, Eddie etc. Now imagine all the stuff I know nothing about thats being done. While very little of what some of them do ends up public, I can attest to the immense scale of the work they are doing when it comes to community building, exchange relations and being the proverbial handymen(women) of Hive.
So many people right now are working on things you probably will never hear about and go on with your day unphased but all those things that are unrelated to core Hive features, that we take for granted, someone had to set up, work on, monitor and maintain.
And I want them to talk about it.
I have gone full time crypto at the exact bottom in the market and my time has opened up. I am doing my best, with the limited skills I have 馃槄, to help out as much as I can.
Some actions reactive in order to improve efficiency in some cases and take burden off peoples backs as was the case with the Hive rally car project.
When it comes to myself just to update everyone:
There are some things right now Im doing to help out a few of our dapps that might or might not come to fruition but its kind of tied into my long standing belief that we should start looking towards our L2 dapps and establish a mentality of of focusing on what should in the nearer or further future be the primary entry point into the Hive ecosystem for users.
Another, lets call it reactive, action is attempting to provide the service that I see some (not all fortunately for us) Hive dapps sorely lacking. Something they deserve criticism for. And that is direct communication with the Crypto Twitter ecosystem where, as most are aware, is where crypto people hang out. 馃槄 I am hoping to use the SPK network created breakout community feature to set up, what is essentially a frontend related to music. Doze helping with some designs.
Not because I am some music aficionado but because it would give me an opportunity to interact with a massive community of people on Crypto Twitter. Musicians, when it comes to their social footprint, had a fairly low value during the time of Steemit Openmic, although their talent was immense. Now, with the advent of NFTs we are talking about individuals with hundreds of thousands of followers between them with large investor followings.
All of them being able to benefit greatly from Hive and help us spread the word.
But for that you need to provide direct value to them, you need to go out and TALK TO THEM. Literally, not figuratively.
Too long of a post. lol.
Anyways... my hope is that more of the people in the community might step up and find something they can throw some time at.
I never stop talking about the stuff im doing 馃槀, so I dont qualify, but being an unsung hero of Hive has its perks as well.
If nothing, ill write about how great you are. lol
