Yesterday we had some, I would say expected results. USA beat Iran and Wales lost to England.
That meant USA and England go through.
I didnt watch much of the USA-Iran game as it seemed boring after a few minutes. To everyones surprise the players didnt kill each other over politics. Who would have guessed, lol.

I did watch more of the England game and even though I did want to see Wales win it, they were honestly hopeless. Bale is like a worn out log thats planted up front. A player that once had the biggest transfer in history, that had such pace compared to the fastest players in history, now cant even run. His decline is insane and hes only 33. I think he lost most of his motivation in Madrid and is slowly closing into retirement.

Another group is closing off their round 3 right now. Anyone can go through, Argentina, Mexico, Poland and Saudi Arabia.
After the massive surprises today already where Australia beat Denmark and knocked them out of the World Cup and Tunisia beating France, we could be seeing more of the same teday.
We will see in a few hours.

Denmark was considered a dark horse of this tournament and had a fairly easy group with, Tunisia and Australia, considered very poor teams. And Australia honestly was. Probably the worst watch of the world cup aside Qatar. Long gone are the days of Viduka, Kewell, Cahill, Bresciano...
What remains now is an extremely poor team that had massive amount of luck. They worked hard and it paid off.

To piss off Messi fans Id like to see Poland go through. I dont know. I just always liked Poland. They lack talent but have physically strong players that can surprise anyone.
Argentina is completely a polar opposite but I never honestly liked their attitude. They seem entitled and when shit gets tough Ive never seen them dig deep.
I have to mention Croatia again. haha
Last World Cup in knockout rounds we always came back from being down. Last Euros we were losing 3:1 against Spain and we equalized in last minutes only to be knocked out in extended time.
Thats the kind of attitude you like watching.
Argentina lacks mental strength, they lack defiance. When they start losing they get mopey, start blaming each other.
The other game I wont talk too much about. Mexico-Saudi Arabia. Im on Saudis side here. I really like their coach and insanely determined approach to the game.
They have probably been the most fun to watch this World Cup even though they, id say, unfairly lost to Poland.
Everyone loves an underdog.

Tomorrow, we are meeting Belgium. A win takes us through or if Canada beats Morocco. I wont make any predictions since Belgium is the strongest side we faced yet. According to FIFA theyre second in the rankings.
We will see.
