I read the article today on decrypt where they covered the STEEM/TRON story so i went digging a bit through TRON hashtag on Twitter. Was curious to see if it will get picked up.
It probably wont.
After looking through a number of most popular tweets on the #TRON page its fairly easy to understand their brilliant strategy of hiding all and any criticism. Its easy to understand how they managed to fool so many people out of their money.
They just bury every other voice but their own underneath the piles of fake reetweets, fake comments, fake likes and they do it every day.
Everything about their top tweets is fake. Even their own "TRON foundation "weekly report on a twitter page that has 500k followers is fake.
I took a few screenshots of the comment section of this one tweet. I thought it would be fun. :) And this is just one example. Funnily i saw this exact thing on the twitter page of another bunch of scammers, Steemhunt. He taught them well. Personally, whenever i see this, be it with the "XRP army" or with the "TRON mental patient army" i always know this is a project that i need to stay the fuck away from.
Now watch and be amazed by the brilliance of Justins marketing. haha
And this was just on one tweet. The reason why this can somewhat work is because people see the numbers and think:
"Look, this is in line with what they are saying about TRON. They do indeed have millions of users!"
People see the numbers and the gullible ones that dont know how much deception there is in crypto dont really scroll through the comments, dont really see the criticism or the feedback because its hidden below all the fake crap TRON pays for.
And its not just TRON. Others do it as well. The gullible are exploited and high market caps are established because of that.
So the question is:
When will being deceptive and fraudulent stop being so profitable? Should you as a legit project just follow Justins model?
