Wickr Safety?

Its founders:  Wickr is as close to a private platform as one can expect in a connected world, saving no information to a server and and no data on its users.  According to their "About us" they're a small company, thus they have a small team.  

Good security experts are very hard to find. - The problem with Wickr is that there is no independent code review nor is there any good documentation about their security design. This means that we can only guess about how safe it is. 

My experience with wick is that i feel it's quite safe, considering you don't have to register any email or phone number, only a username and a password. Which makes it more safe as only you know the password.. If you forget, well... you are out of luck.

And another downside is that Wick seems to be crashing alot, (wick app has stopped)

Which is fucking annoying. oh well.---

• Wickr can send self-destruct messages and thus send messages that can't be read after some time. The whole Wickr infrastructure doesn't seem to store any sensitive data messages on their own servers.   Wickr users can send text messages, pictures, videos, audio files and documents that last for as little as one second, and up to five days, 23 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds.  All messages and transactions are secured with military-grade encryption, then decrypted locally on the device targeted – making it perfect, perhaps, for drug dealers and people out to be unfaithful to either their partners or their party leaders. So, it seems reliable enough, although we aren't 100% sure. But it is used by plenty of people who care about their privacy and security so I would say that it should be secure enough for most people.
