@dswigle, today is another unique #marketfriday post. As we are about to celebrate our City’s Fiesta I thought of sharing some photos I took during last year’s City Fiesta celebration.
It will be too different now. The city government announced that the fiesta celebration will be done online, I just can’t imagine how it will be carried on. But we are looking forward to it. I hope it would still be a wonderful celebration.
But I’m sure we will miss a lot of wonderful activities like the city parade, concerts, street dancing competitions, fruits, and vegetable display, singing competition and the traditional outdoor moving amusement park, the Fiesta Carnival.
In the Philippines, Carnival is almost present every time a certain place celebrates its Fiesta. And people really would want to go there especially the kids. Even if they will spend for the entrance and the rides.
I wonder how those carnival workers are doing now when they don't have work anymore, I hope they are not struggling for their food and some other basic needs.
This year because of the covid-19 we will be missing that old-fashioned carnival fun and family entertainment, I just hope and pray that this pandemic will end so soon so we could be back to our normal life.
So it was in the same month last year when we decided to visit the mobile amusement park here in Cagayan de Oro.
As I’ve mentioned they are always present every year for long long time ago. And as the residence of Cagayan de Oro we were used to having it every August.
The reason for going there was obviously to have fun and we did have so much fun. The kids enjoyed the popular kiddie rides and the ultimate thrill-seekers rides.
Honestly, I did not indulge myself much into those rides although I enjoyed playing guns with my kids. We paid and won some prizes but the most important thing is we enjoyed the moment. My little kid even wants to play more but it was time to go home already. I just told him we will come back after a few days and that time would be during their mom’s day off so she could come with us.
Overall the time and the money spent was worth it, we had quality bonding time and really enjoyed and had so much fun. This is the reason why we missed doing it again this time. Whether or not we will have a carnival next year? Only God knows...
