Hi! My name is Astrid, better known as Loli or Lolo, it's my first time in this Hive community and I find it super interesting how I can share part of my artistic work and visualize that of many!
Soy venezolana, nacida en la ciudad de Caracas en 1990, he vivido en muchos lugares ya que tuve una infancia movida, la mayoría de mi vida estuve con mi mamá, estuve viviendo en la playa por un tiempo también lo cuál hizo que conectara muchísimo con el mar y la naturaleza (algo que mantengo actualmente).
I am Venezuelan, born in the city of Caracas in 1990, I have lived in many places since I had a busy childhood, most of my life I was with my mother, I was living on the beach for a while too, which made me connect a lot with the sea and nature (something that I currently maintain).
Crecí estudiando como la mayoria de los niños, era muy buena alumna, llegué a terminar la secundaria pero no pude entrar a la universidad.
Orgullosa de mi raza, mi mezcla y mi color de piel. Soy una mezcla de raza indígena por mi mamá y raza negra/zambo por mi papá.
A pesar de que conocí el arte desde pequeña, no le di el seguimiento sino hasta la adolescencia donde verdaderamente empecé a dibujar más seguido, conocer técnicas de pintura, también me gustaba mucho la lectura y la poesía, trataba de plasmar y fusionar la lectura al dibujo y diseño.
También estuve muy cerca de la música desde pequeña pero sufría de miedo escénico lo que me detenia a la hora de mostrar mi talento vocal.
I grew up studying like most children, I was a very good student, I finished high school but I couldn't go to university. Proud of my race, my mixture and my skin color. I am a mix of indigenous race by my mom and black/zambo race by my dad. Although I knew art from a young age, I did not follow it until adolescence where I really began to draw more often, learn painting techniques, I also really liked reading and poetry, I tried to capture and merge reading with drawing and design. I was also very close to music since I was little but I suffered from stage fright which stopped me from showing my vocal talent.
Fue sólo hasta mi juventud, cuándo tenía 18 años que florecí con mis aptitudes artísticas, veía cursos de pintura, cantaba con mis amigos, aprendí a patinar, entré al mundo del #streetart, rap, patineta, graffitti, baile.
It was only until my youth, when I was 18 years old that I flourished with my artistic skills, I watched painting courses, I sang with my friends, I learned to skate, I entered the world of #streetart, rap, skateboard, graffiti, dance.
En 2015 tuve un viaje que reforzó mis técnicas de pintura ya que estuve 3 meses pintando fuera de la ciudad con un colectivo bastante grande de muralistas y artistas varios.
In 2015 I had a trip that reinforced my painting techniques since I spent 3 months painting outside the city with a fairly large group of muralists and various artists.
Al regresar estuve en un grupo de son cubano, guaracha y salsa con un show llamado "Loli en tinta" con uno de los mejores percusionista de Venezuela llamado Alberto Borregales. También fui convocada a participar en una obra teatral performatica y poética llamada "Prostíbulo Poético" donde interpreté en varias ocasiones un personaje llamado "Bettie" que reflejaba a una cantinera y fichera de los años 20 que vendía fichas por pequeños fragmentos de canciones.
Estudié barismo y me convertí por un tiempo en una experta del café.
When I returned I was in a group of Cuban son, guaracha and salsa with a show called "Loli in ink" with one of the best percussionists in Venezuela called Alberto Borregales. I was too summoned to participate in a performative and poetic theatrical work called "Poetic Brothel" where I played on several occasions a character called "Bettie" who reflected a bartender and file clerk from the 1920s who sold tokens for small fragments of songs.
I studied barista and became a coffee expert for a while.
Conocí el tatuaje aproximadamente en el año 2014 pero no fue sino hasta el 2016 que lo desarrollé. Actualmente también lo trabajo.
I discovered the tattoo in approximately 2014 but it was not until 2016 that I developed it. I am currently working on it as well.
En 2017 nace mi primera y única hija en Colombia y regreso a mi país definitivamente a finales de 2019.
Éste viaje a Colombia para mí fue una pausa al diseño y pintura y trabajé por un tiempo con el circo en los semáforos de Bogotá y Cúcuta.
In 2017 my first and only daughter was born in Colombia and I return to my country definitively at the end of 2019. This trip to Colombia for me was a break from design and painting and I worked for a while with the circus at traffic lights in Bogotá and Cúcuta.
Desde ese año no he parado de hacer arte! Me especializo en dibujo, ilustración, pintura y muralismo principalmente pero actualmente estoy explorando la técnica gráfica de grabado (xilografía) y me uní con dos artistas más para conformar un pequeño crew llamado "Improvisarte" en donde realizamos piezas en base a ésta tecnicas y convertirlas en arte utilitario (franelas, parches, bolsos).
Hace un tiempo estuve en varios crew artísticos, los más relevantes para mí fueron "La mata crew" conformado por 4 chicas incluyéndome y "Herejes" conformado por 5 chicas.
Some time ago I was in several artistic crews, the most relevant for me were "La mata crew" made up of 4 girls including me and "Herejes" made up of 5 girls.
La fotografía también siempre ha formado parte de mi vida, es un arte que me apasiona y la practico para mi placer personal porque siento que todo lo que vemos, vivimos y sentimos puede convertirse en una fotografía, sólo es cuestión de capturar momentos con su escencia misma incluida.
Estuve de modelo para algunos compañeros en sus proyectos fotográficos.
Photography has also always been part of my life, it is an art that I am passionate about and I practice it for my personal pleasure because I feel that everything we see, live and feel can become a photograph, it is only a matter of capturing moments with their essence. same included. Hace unos meses estaba pintando un mural en un festival de arte realizado en Caracas y unos de los fotógrafos encargados del registro visual de éste festival me comentó sobre ésta blockchain y me pareció increíble.

Mi trabajo personal se enfoca muchísimo en la feminidad, en romper barreras censuradas, del cuerpo femenino y su hermosa complejidad, hablar y dibujar sobre lo que muchos quieren escuchar pero pocos se atreven a plasmar.
