Suiko is a Legendary Neutral Dragonkin promo card released for Splinterlands’ 8th Anniversary. She is the counterpart to Tenrai and the two share a history as Dragonkin who once fought together in the skies of Praetoria. She can be bought in the shop for $8.88 a copy and it would be great to have her at maxed levels and paired with Tenrai. In today's post, we'll go over her lore, her stats and abilities as well as show a battle where she's used effectively.
Suiko is a highly disciplined war drake known for never firing twice. She concentrates each burst of flame on a single precise target, making every attack devastating and long lasting rather than wasting fire on flashy displays. During one disastrous battle, her rider and the rider of her smaller wingmate never returned. Suiko still carries passengers for peaceful duties, but she refuses to fight with anyone else. Her saddle remains permanently attached because removing it would mean acknowledging that her original rider is never coming back and Suiko refuses to accept that loss.
Like her partner Tenrai, Suiko is a card built for offense. She deals four magic damage, has nine health and three speed. Her abilities give her more offensive power. True Strike means her attacks will never miss even if the enemy has Phase. Apex Strike allows her to target the enemy with the highest power. Affliction removes healing abilities from enemy units. Kindred Will grants the Armored Strike ability to Tenrai or other units with Kindred Spirit ability. She gains the Giant Killer ability from Tenrai. This means that her attack power will double when her target costs ten mana or more.
In this battle, player Jerman had a maxed level Tenrai and Suiko combo. He had a dual tank combo in front composed of Doomshield Warden and legendary gladiator Xulax Nightwind. His main damage dealer were the dragon pair. He had another unit with Kindred Spirit in fifth who was buffed by Suiko. In sixth position, he had Magnificent Mollusk who dealt six range damage.
His enemy had the beefy Dar Gottem Gearnut in tank position. This card is known for his huge health but already countered by Suiko's Giant Killer ability. Suiko's Apex Strike prioritized the enemy's Magnificent Mollusk who also received double damage from Suiko. Once the enemy's highest damage dealer was removed, the others soon followed and Jerman won the battle.
