The European monarchies and their expenses are actually activities that have an impact on the economic world. If these great world powers would not have to support their kings and queens, their own economy would become more dynamic and make a contribution worldwide, we are talking about countries like England , Spain, Belgium, Holland, Monaco. The British royal house is the monarchy that receives the largest annual budget in Europe. Forbes magazine published its position, approximately 98 million euros per year, this budget has increased in 2023 by 15%, up to 116 million. The reason for this increase is the redevelopment of Buckingham Palace, which will cost between 70 and 75 million over 8 years.

More than 100 million received the British royal house in the last year, this amount is paid for all the expenses associated with the life of the monarchs to official trips, maintenance of facilities, salaries of service personnel, among others. Another royal family that incurs large expenses is that of the Netherlands. The Dutch royal family has an annual budget of 44.5 million euros per year, the salary of its King William is 5.9 million euros. The Norwegian monarchy continues, with 42 million. These salaries come from taxpayers since there is only one European monarchy that is self-sufficient because they own large banking groups from the old continent, such as the Principality of Liechtenstein, which does not receive money from the people.

In the Spanish one of the most austere the salary assigned to Felipe VI was 253,000 and Leticia 139,000. this year. Cultures that have so much rigidity to maintain a life of luxury and sometimes scandalize very wealthy families that make a merely representative contribution, peoples with monarchies feel proud of it, although England and Spain have experienced difficult times in the last decades. Quite an investment in luxuries, comfort and exaggerated staff budgets. If these countries did not spend such an amount to maintain the kings, could we think that their economies would be more developed and this would have an impact worldwide?
