Hello to all of my friends here and of course to all my dear fellow hivers in this lovely 
How are you all today? I hope everyone is doing well and happy right now. Here I am again, 
Yesterday was my husband’s 35th birthday, and I wanted to make his day a little more special even though we decided to keep the celebration simple. I took a leave from work so I could spend the day preparing for our family dinner. Instead of going out, I decided to cook for him and prepare a simple celebration at home.
For dinner, I made one of our favorites, carbonara. I wanted something easy but delicious, and carbonara was the perfect choice. I also bought two boxes of homemade pizza from a small place near us. The combination was more than enough for our simple birthday feast.
My brother happened to be on his way home that day, so I asked him to stop by Graceland and buy a birthday cake for my husband. It was nice that everything came together without too much planning or preparation. Sometimes, simple celebrations like this are the ones that feel the most meaningful.
Before we started eating, I gave my husband his birthday gift. I bought him a pair of shoes, and I was so happy when he opened them because he really liked them. What made it more special was that shoes were actually the same pair he had been planning to buy for himself. I guess I made the right choice.
After the gift-giving and a few photos, we finally gathered around the table and enjoyed our dinner together. We simply enjoyed each other’s company while celebrating another year of my husband’s life.
