Like most things in life, we have success and failures and when it comes to gardening, this applies too.
Just looking at my plants in containers, I can see both.
My rocket - which has self seeded looks like it has been on steroids as it has grown so large and I cannot keep up with harvesting the leaves - I am not complaining as I love it in salads.
The same thing has happened with my italian parsley - also self seeded and has popped up in almost every container.
Last season my marigolds were gorgeous and although I did not plant any this season, they are appearing in most of the containers and I am happy about this as they are great companion plants to deter pests - especially with tomatoes.
Talking about tomatoes, my seedlings have all come up so I am looking forward to these as I have a couple of new varieties planted.
The one thing that has not done well is my New Zealand spinach - it seemed to start off alright, but then it bolted - not sure why but maybe the weather got too warm too soon.
