We have a days of sunshine today after all the heavy rain and my containers are looking good - amazing how more growth appears after rain - so much more than when we water the plants.
This morning, as I was inspecting my containers, I saw something that really made me smile.
Right next to one of my chili plants were snowdrops flowering!
I always seem to forget about the snowdrops - I planted them in the container to make sure that the moles would not get to them and so every year they pop up to remind me that they are still there.
Many years ago, I stayed with an aunt of mine - she lived in Derbyshire in the U.K. and the snowdrops would pop up in her lawn which really fascinated me.
In the time that I stayed with her, I was lucky enough to see bluebells growing wild as well as primroses and so still today they all bring back happy memories of that beautiful countryside.
Seeing my snowdrops together with the chilies would have been something that she would have found very amusing.
