Gardeners that love their roses often find that red spider mite attacks the plants and this can be quite devastating.
However, many years ago, I was given a gardening tip to help prevent this and so I thought that I would pass it on to you all.
Red spider mite is often seen when the weather is very hot, but if you use this tip, you will be able to prevent an infestation.
It is quite simple.
When watering your roses, place your garden sprinkler underneath the rose bushes so that the water spray hits the under side of the leaves.
If you do this every time you water the plants, the red spider mite will stay away.
Do your watering in the morning and not the evening so that the foliage has time to dry off as wet leaves in the evening can cause mildew.
I have put this into practice and it really works and is a much better way of prevention as apposed to using poison sprays .
