Does anyone else love old abandoned buildings? I don't mean warehouses, necessarily, but old schools and churches and hospitals. When I moved into my apartment last winter, I was strangely delighted to find myself right next to a rundown old church.
I'd include a more seasonally-appropriate photo, but the building is now mostly obscured by leaves.
Up the street is what I assume is an old school house connected to the gymnasium. The lower windows are all blocked up, so it's impossible to see inside. But what relics might lurk in there? Old desks, if it really was a school?
I don't know what it is about these buildings that makes me so interested in them. I'm certainly not the sort to go breaking in and exploring, and the idea of ghost hunting freaks me out! But there's just something quaint and oddly comforting in having these icons of the past around.
